Reflecting on RCCG Year in Review

As the year comes to an end, it’s essential to reflect on the prophecies and promises delivered to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) family by our spiritual leaders, particularly Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

These messages, inspired by God, serve as a guide, a warning, and a source of encouragement for believers worldwide. Reviewing them helps us see how God has worked in our lives, strengthens our faith, and prepares us for the year ahead.

1. Prophecies for the Year: A Look Back

Each year, Pastor Adeboye shares prophetic declarations that encompass three broad categories: personal, national, and global. These prophecies, rooted in scripture, often highlight areas of spiritual growth, societal changes, and divine intervention. Reflecting on these words allows us to assess God’s faithfulness in fulfilling His promises.

Key Prophecies for 2024 (as an example):

Personal Prophecies: A year of restoration and divine acceleration for many.

National Prophecies: Warnings about economic turbulence and calls for national repentance.

Global Prophecies: A reminder of God’s sovereignty in a world grappling with natural disasters and political instability.

2. Promises Fulfilled: Testimonies of God’s Faithfulness

One of the greatest joys of reflecting on a year is seeing how God has fulfilled His promises. For many RCCG members, the testimonies of healings, breakthroughs, and answered prayers serve as a testament to the faithfulness of God.

Scripture Reference:
Isaiah 55:11 says, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Reflection Activity:
Encourage members to write down personal testimonies or church-wide miracles experienced this year. These testimonies not only glorify God but also encourage others to trust Him.

3. Lessons Learned from Prophecies

Prophecies are not only about blessings but also about preparation and repentance. Reflecting on the warnings and guidance shared by spiritual leaders reminds us of areas where we need to align more closely with God’s will.

Example Reflection Questions:

Did I take the calls for repentance and holiness seriously?

How have I contributed to advancing God’s kingdom in response to the year’s prophecies?

Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for speaking through Your servant this year. Help me to reflect on these words and align my actions with Your will.”

4. The Call to Action for RCCG Members

Reflecting on prophecies also comes with a responsibility. As members of the RCCG family, we are called to:

Pray for Nations: Stand in the gap for global peace and stability.

Evangelize: Share the Good News in response to the call for harvest.

Pursue Holiness: Live lives that reflect the teachings of Christ.

Scripture Reference:
Micah 6:8 – “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

5. Preparing for the Coming Year

As we reflect on 2024’s prophecies and promises, let us also prepare our hearts for the prophetic declarations of 2025. Enter the new year with faith, expectancy, and a commitment to act on God’s Word.

Prayer Points for 2025 Preparation:

“Lord, prepare my heart to receive Your Word for the new year.”

“Father, let every unfulfilled promise for this year be carried into the next with Your divine favor.”

“Lord, equip RCCG leaders and members worldwide to walk in obedience to Your will.”

Reflecting on the prophecies and promises of the year is a spiritual exercise that strengthens our faith and reminds us of God’s sovereignty. As RCCG members, let us close the year with gratitude for God’s faithfulness, repentance for missed opportunities, and anticipation for the new year’s divine plans.

Final Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for Your promises and prophecies this year. As we reflect, may our faith grow stronger, and may we step into the new year ready to fulfill Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
