Beloved in Christ, welcome to Day 10 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s (RCCG) 2026 Annual 30-Day Fasting and Prayer. This sacred period of corporate consecration is a cornerstone of our spiritual calendar, uniting millions of “Redeemites” worldwide. It is a time to seek God’s face with singular focus, intercede for our lives and nations, and spiritually posture ourselves for the year’s theme, “Brand New Beginning.”

Fasting is the spiritual discipline of humbling ourselves before God, subduing the flesh to elevate the spirit. As we cross into the second phase of this journey, the initial zeal can meet the reality of spiritual warfare and physical discipline. It is at this divine junction that today’s focus is perfectly appointed: “Strength Renewed for the Weary Soul.” This is God’s gracious provision, acknowledging our humanity while offering His supernatural power. The promise of Isaiah 40:31 is our anchor: “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

📖 Today’s Official Prayer Focus & Scriptures

The official focus for Day 10, released by the General Overseer’s office, calls us to exchange our weariness for God’s strength. Our foundation is built on three powerful scriptures:

  • Psalm 41:10-13: A prayer for mercy, triumph over enemies, and the assurance of being upheld and established in God’s presence forever.
  • Psalm 46:1-2: A declaration that God is our unshakable refuge, strength, and ever-present help, banishing all fear.
  • Romans 8:33: The bedrock truth of our justification in Christ, rendering every accusation powerless.

💭 Commentary & Personalized Prayer Guide for RCCG Members

While the official points provide the structure, let your spirit engage with these truths personally. This commentary unpacks the “why” behind the prayers.

The Link Between Joy and Strength: A key revelation in today’s focus is that divine joy is the fuel for renewed strength. This is not human happiness based on circumstances, but the deep, abiding joy of the Lord—a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). It is this supernatural joy that becomes our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The enemy’s strategy is often to drain our joy to deplete our strength. Today’s prayers are a direct counterattack, asking God to flood our hearts so we are spiritually fortified.

Personalized Prayer Sections:

  • For Personal Revival: “Lord, I identify areas where my joy has been dimmed—through disappointment, prolonged prayer, or the cares of life. As in Psalm 51:12, restore to me the joy of Your salvation. Let a fresh wave of Your presence reignite a fire of praise within me that no wind can extinguish.”
  • For Emotional and Mental Fortitude: “Father, my mind and emotions have been under siege. I claim Proverbs 17:22 and Romans 12:12 over my mental health. Let Your joy be medicine to my soul and a shield to my mind, repelling every anxious thought and lifting the weight of heaviness.”
  • For Perseverance in the Fast & Purpose: “Almighty God, as the physical discipline of the fast continues, I pray for a second wind. Energize me by Your Spirit (Romans 14:17). Strengthen me with might in my inner man (Ephesians 3:16) so that I may complete this fast with spiritual fervor and not just religious duty.”
  • For Your Household and Local Assembly: “I extend this prayer to my family and my local parish. Let a spirit of joy and strength permeate our homes and our church. May we be a people known for our resilient hope and unwavering praise, especially in challenging times.”
  • For Our Father in the Lord and Leadership: “We specially intercede for our General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Mummy G.O., and all pastors and leaders. Renew their strength a hundredfold. Protect them from burnout and overwhelm. As they pour out, Lord, pour into them Your fresh oil and abiding joy.”

Declarations for Today:
* “The joy of the Lord is my strength and my fortress.”
* “I am renewed, re-energized, and revitalized in my spirit, soul, and body.”
* “I refuse to faint; I am strengthened by divine might to finish my course with joy.”

Continue to stay hydrated, rest in God’s promises, and let the truth of His Word sustain you. May Day 10 be your divine turning point from weariness to supernatural endurance.
