PART TWO: OVERVIEW OF DAY 1 – OPENING NIGHT

Day 1 of the 40th anniversary Holy Ghost Service marked the beginning of a four-day spiritual encounter that will be remembered for generations. The atmosphere at the Redemption Camp was electric with expectation as worshippers gathered from across Nigeria and around the world. The service was also streamed live to millions online, connecting the global RCCG family in one accord.

The theme “EXCELLENCE” set the tone for the entire celebration, calling every participant to reflect the nature of God who is excellent in power, wisdom, mercy, and glory.

PART THREE: ORDER OF SERVICE – DAY 1

1. Prelude and Instrumental Worship
   The service began with a prelude from the mass choir, creating an atmosphere of reverence and anticipation. Instrumental ministrations prepared hearts for the move of God.

2. Processional Hymn
   “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” – The congregation stood as ministers and choir processed in, singing the classic hymn that declares the majesty of Christ.

3. Opening Prayer
   A senior pastor led the opening prayer, dedicating the four-day celebration to God and inviting His presence to fill the auditorium.

4. Praise and Worship
   The mass choir led an extended time of praise and worship. Songs that have become anthems in the RCCG were sung, including:

Excellence in the Church
God desires that His church operate in excellence. Not the excellence of human achievement but the excellence of divine enablement. Excellence in worship, in the Word, in prayer, and in service.

The Call to Personal Excellence
Every believer is called to a life of excellence. Not perfection, but a commitment to do all things as unto the Lord. Excellence in character, in conduct, in calling.

The Reward of Excellence
Those who walk in excellence will be distinguished. Like Daniel who excelled above others, they will be promoted. Like Joseph who walked in excellence, they will be elevated.
