RCCG Open Heavens 7 November 2026 Daily Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye – HE NEEDS YOUR HANDS
Topic: HE NEEDS YOUR HANDS

Memorise:
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
— Job 17:9 (KJV)
Read: Psalm 24:1-5 (KJV)
1 The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
RCCG Open Heavens 7 November 2026 Today’s Message by Pastor E.A. Adeboye
Whenever God wants to perform signs and wonders on earth, He looks for vessels He can use. He usually seeks people who will make themselves available to Him so that His purpose on earth can be fulfilled. One of the things that God loves to do is to heal those who are sick, and He often likes to do this through the hands of those who are fully surrendered to Him.
If you are a child of God, God needs your hands to heal the sick. Mark 16:18 says that you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Of course, God can decide to heal a person directly without using any human medium, but more often than not, He chooses to use His children’s hands.
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
— Acts 19:11
In the Scripture above, God was the One who performed special miracles, but He needed Paul’s hands to accomplish them. If you surrender your hands to God, He will perform special miracles through you as well. However, for God to use your hands, they must be clean. Today’s Bible reading tells us what it means to have clean hands. When your hands are clean, you will not lift up your soul to vanity or swear deceitfully.
People who lift up their souls to vanity live only for worldly pleasures. Such individuals can do anything to achieve their goals, and Proverbs 28:20 says that anyone who makes haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Also, those who swear deceitfully are not trustworthy, and God will not use the hands of such individuals to do His work.
Beloved, if you want God to use your hands, then you must be ready to live by His standards. Our memory verse today says that he who has clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. When your hands are clean, you will become a mighty vessel in the hands of God. You must also have a pure heart (Matthew 5:8) and be willing to do whatever He tells you, whether it sounds logical or not (John 2:5).
2 Timothy 2:19 says, “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” God needs your hands, but He will only use them if they are clean and pure.
Key Point:
If you want to be a useful vessel in God’s hands, you must have clean hands.
Bible in One Year:
John 13-15
Hymn: I Am Thine, O Lord
Verse 1:
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Verse 2:
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
(Chorus)
Verse 3:
O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!
(Chorus)
Verse 4:
There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
(Chorus)
Open Heaven Devotional 7 November 2026 Commentary
Theme: The Burden Bearer needs your hands—but only clean hands. God performs special miracles through surrendered, purified vessels. He heals the sick through the hands of His children, but those hands must be free from vanity, deceit, and impurity.
Major Keywords: He needs your hands, clean hands, surrendered vessel, healing through laying on of hands, purity for service.
Commentary Summary:
God Is a Miracle Worker: Acts 19:11 says God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul. God was the One performing the miracles—Paul simply made his hands available. God still heals today, and He is looking for available vessels.
Surrender Your Hands: Mark 16:18 says you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. God often chooses to heal through the hands of His children. Surrender means holding nothing back—your hands belong to God for His purposes.
Clean Hands Matter: Psalm 24:4 describes clean hands as hands that have not lifted up the soul to vanity nor sworn deceitfully. God will not use dishonest, greedy, or impure hands. Your character matters as much as your anointing.
Key Truth: Job 17:9 says he who has clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. When your hands are clean, you become a mighty vessel in God’s hands. Present your hands to Him today—purified and surrendered.
Reference to Theme: This message, HE NEEDS YOUR HANDS, is both an invitation and a challenge. God wants to work through you—to heal the sick, bless the needy, and accomplish His will. But He will only use hands that are clean and pure. Surrender them today.
Action Steps:
Surrender Your Hands to God Afresh: Open your hands before God and say, “Lord, these hands are Yours. Use them for Your glory.”
Examine the Cleanliness of Your Hands: Are your hands involved in anything dishonest, greedy, or impure? Repent and cleanse your hands before God.
Step Out in Faith to Pray for the Sick: Look for an opportunity this week to lay hands on someone who is sick and pray for them in faith.
