Father, we bless You. Lord of heaven, Lord of the earth, the possessor of heaven and earth. We bless You because there is no One like You, You are the Almighty. Whatever You decide to do is already done.

We give You all glory and honour for loving us. We thank You for saving our souls. What a privilege to be Your children. What a privilege to have the Highest, the Greatest, and the Most Powerful as our Father. Glory be to Your Holy Name.

Father, today, we Your children are here again, please speak to us. The power that is in Your Word, Father, let it bring healings, deliverance, and miracles to us. Lord God Almighty, before this day is over, let us experience creative miracles in our lives. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have prayed, Amen!

TEXT – Exodus chapter 3

1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro, his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here I am.

5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

We started our series on “For Whom The Heavens Open” some weeks back.

Last week, we learnt from this story that the heavens can open unexpectedly, and it can open anywhere.

Moses saw the fire burning the bush but the bush was not consumed.

There are two types of fires:

1. The fire that consumes.

2. The fire that purifies.

Both come from God.

1. THE CONSUMING FIRE.

In Genesis 19:24-28, When God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He sent down fire from heaven.

In 2 Kings 1:9-12, when some soldiers came to arrest Elijah, he called down fire from heaven to consume the soldiers.

Deuteronomy 28:1-7.

Deuteronomy 28:7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

God can send down fire from heaven and consume your enemies.

In 1 Kings 18:36-39, when Elijah called down fire on Mount Carmel, the fire consumed the wood and released the potential of the wood. Every wood has the potential of becoming fire.

The fire consumed rocks. Rock is a symbol of hardship, it means fire can consume all the hardship in your life.

For example, in 2 Kings 4:1-7, the widow of the sons of the prophets came in contact with the Almighty God through Elisha. Her debt was paid and she had enough to live on for the rest of her life.

The fire of God will come down today and consume your debt, all your problems, and give you abundance for the rest of your life.

The fire consumed the dust. Dust is about our flesh. The fire of God can destroy every yoke in our lives.

Isaiah 10:27 the anointing of God will destroy yoke.

For example, in Luke 13;11-17, a woman was bound by satan, she couldn’t walk straight. When she came in contact with Jesus, her yoke was destroyed.

The fire of God will consume whatever is causing you shame.

In Judges 15:14-15, they brought Samson to his enemies. When the enemies started to rejoice, the fire of God fell, and the ropes that bound him were destroyed.

The consuming fire of the Most High God will come down mightily and every rope binding your hands that is not allowing you to succeed will be consumed by fire so that whatever you touch from now on will begin to prosper.

The fire of God will come down and consume any rope binding your legs that is not allowing you to make progress so that your progress this year will become accelerated.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were bound and thrown into the fiery furnace. The fire slain mighty men that threw them into the fire, burnt the ropes that bound them, and purified them.

The fire consumed water. The fire will leak your tears.

Revelation 7:17 God will wipe away tears from our eyes.

This year, in the Mighty Name of Jesus’ Christ, we will weep no more.

Everything that is causing us sorrow will be consumed by the consuming fire of the Almighty God.

2. THE FIRE THAT PURIFIES.

The purifying fire of God burns without consuming, it burns to make holy.

Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

The fire of the Almighty God is going to come down mightily upon His ministers this year.

PRAYER

In the Name of the One who called me, that purifying fire will come on the ministers of God today, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER

That purifying fire will come on you and you will live a life of purity, holiness, and a life that will please God and cause Him to draw you closer to Himself.

In Acts 2:1-4, when the disciples gathered in the Upper Room the fire that fell on them was the purifying fire. The fire purified them and prepared them for great things that the Almighty God wanted to do through them.

In Acts 5:12-16, because the special fire fell on Peter, his shadow healed the sick.

The Almighty God made a promise: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

If the fire touches you, you will do greater work.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Children of God, lay your body on the altar for the fire to fall so that the fire can fall, touch you and turn you to mighty miracle working mud.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus Christ, you have a choice, either the consuming fire or the purifying fire.

If you die in your sin, you will go to Hell. But if you come to the Almighty God today and surrender to Him, He will baptise you with the Holy Ghost and fire.

Instead of going to Hell, you will become a vessel unto honour. If you haven’t given your life to Jesus Christ, surrender to Him now.

If you are born again, surrender to God completely, pray: “I’m laying on the altar, Lord, send down your fire and purify me.”

My Father and my God, I want to bless Your Holy Name. Ancient of Days, I want to give You all glory, honour for your Word.

I want to thank You for those who have heard Your Word today. Thank You, especially for those who have decided to surrender their lives to you, Father, please receive them. Let Your Blood wash away their sins, save their souls, Lord. Write their names in the Book of Life. And Lord God Almighty, let Your purifying fire come upon them so that from now on, when they cry unto You, You will answer them by fire.

My Father and my God, I’m also praying for all Your children who are already serving You. I pray that as they surrender completely to You, as they lay their bodies on the altar, please send down Your purifying fire on them so that they will begin to perform miracles for You.

Lord God Almighty, let the heavens open today, and let our lives change for the better. In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have prayed. Amen!
