TOPIC: BRUTALITY.
MESSAGE:
Brutality is a cruel and rutless behaviour or treatment. A brutal person is vicious, uncontrollable and inhumane towards others. Paul warns that brutality will increase in the last days (v.1). Recently; there are reports of unprecedented cases of brutality in homes, where husbands beat, butchered and dismembered their wives. The world awoke to the grusome murder of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto and the heinous attack on church worshippers in Owo, both in Nigeria. Without contest or doubt, such savages are not at peace with themselves let alone with God. Scripture condemns brutality (v.5). Are you brutal? Repent and surrender your life to Jesus. He will deliver you from being a savage.
REFLECTION:
Brutality does not solve any problem.
PRAYER:
Father, forgive me of every form of cruelty, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
