SUB-THEME: PEOPLE WHO SOUGHT THE PEACE OF THE LAND.
TOPIC: THE DISCIPLES.
TEXT: LUKE 10:1-9.
1. _After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go._
2. _He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field._
3. _Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves._
4. _Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road._
5. _“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’_
6. _If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you._
7. _Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house._
8. _“When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you._
9. _Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
Daily Walk With Christ – COCIN Devotional TUESDAY 23RD MAY 2023
TOPIC: THE DISCIPLES.
MESSAGE:
Jesus went throughout the villages and towns of Israel, doing good to all. He sent his disciples ahead of him to some cities to proclaim the message of peace, healing the sick and winning souls into the kingdom. The peace of the disciples will only rest on people of peace. Today, believers are saddled with the responsibility of making peace through the preaching of the gospel. Many people are languishing in sin and they do not know the peace of God. Are you willing to partake in God’s call to bring peace to them? Then you must be a man of peace. Always devote your life to making peace by reconciling others to Christ. Doubtless, you will always rejoice when you do God’s work God’s way.
