Prophetic Focus: PRAYER AND FASTING EMPOWERS FOR DOMINION – Isaiah 58:6-14.

We are in the last days that are ordained for the dominion of the church and the saints. Fasting shows how serious you are about the issues you are dealing with. We are admonished to take the remaining days of this fast seriously as we seek to hear specific word from God concerning the challenges we may be dealing with. Personal revelation is key to resolving difficult issues of life Matt. 16:7. There is the level we must grow to in the faith to be able to handle problems rather than relying on others to pray for us. One of the ways to grow in the faith is to engage in prayer and fasting Isa. 58:6-14.

For this year to favour us, we must engage in prayer and fasting to control things and put a stop to all forms of satanic manipulations.

THESE LAST DAYS ARE DAYS OF SUPERNATURAL WEALTH. But you cannot operate in the realm of supernatural wealth without empowerment. The power to operate in supernatural wealth is dependent on the power to give. It is when you understand and engage in giving that you can experience supernatural wealth. Until you are empowered for supernatural wealth, you can never be okay no matter how much you are earning. The power to get wealth is in the power of giving regardless of one’s position in life just like the Macedonian church did 2 Cor. 8:1-3. For God to supply all your needs as stated in Phil. 4:19, you must practice what is written in Phil. 4:15-18. There are various channels of giving – be a tither, give your offerings, give to your prophets and give towards the advancement of the kingdom Prov. 3:10. When you abandon God’s own to do your own, He will not back you up and then everything will fight you and overcome you Hagg. 1:1-11. What you refuse to give to God, Satan will collect it from you. The prosperity of the kingdom is in spreading the gospel. Keep sponsoring the gospel.

THE LAST DAYS ARE DAYS OF CONSECRATION. God wants us to be holy. One of the reasons why our prayers are not answered is because of sin Isa. 59:1-2. God wants us to be holy and on the platform of prayer and fasting, we are empowered to be consecrated. Until your life begins to please God, you cannot be helped by Him. Some deadly habits that will not allow you to please God can only be destroyed by prayer and fasting. It is time to accept responsibility and stop looking for who to blame. The fact that everybody may be doing something wrong does not make it right. Some may say everybody is tempted. That may be true. But not everybody falls to temptation and the fact that no sinner can inherit the kingdom of God 1 Cor. 6:8-10. There is no sin that God cannot forgive as long as you accept responsibility and ask for His forgiveness Rom. 1:14, Ezek. 36:27. We must humble ourselves to keep the statute of God. The problem with many believers is pride. You don’t need to pursue things, rather pursue God and things will pursue after you Psa. 23:6. Jesus is coming back for a sanctified church. He sanctifies His church with His word Eph. 5:26, Jn. 6:63. The message of consecration is not to condemn anyone but for us to strive towards perfection Rom. 8:1-2,13 and that is why it is important to be in church to regularly hear God’s word for regular cleansing Psa. 84:7.

1. We must engage in forgiveness. Unforgiveness will hinder your prayer from being answered Mk. 11:25. We also offend God and need His forgiveness.

2. You must come to God to remind Him of His word. Back up your prayer requests with God’s word. The courts of heaven is like a court room where you need to cite cases to buttress your points. There is nothing that God cannot do for you if you have His word backing it up 1 Jn. 5:14. It is not your will that God will back up but His own will.

3. Engage in praying for the needs of others because what you make happen for others is what God will make to happen for you. You don’t need to make it known to those you are praying for but God that sees your work in secret will reward you openly Eph. 6:8. Don’t gossip about the needs of others, rather pray for their needs Eph. 6:18-19. Pray for souls to be saved. The greatest form of prayer is for you to be an intercessor.

4. Come to God with full assurance of faith and not in doubt James 1:5-7, Heb. 10:22-23. To be double-minded with God means to have an alternative to God and that leads to total failure in life. Hold on to God with all your heart and he will prove Himself faithful in all things for you.

The first step to engaging in profitable prayer and fasting is to be born again. If you are not sure where you stand with God, that is, you have not yet given your life to Christ or you previously did and then went back to the world, then you have to begin from there. Make the decision to accept Jesus today and let Him be Lord over your life and then as you engage in prayer and fasting, it will be effective and you will begin to enjoy the dominion agenda of God for the end time church and believers.
