TOPIC: ACHIEVED PROPITIATION.
TEXT: 1 JOHN 2:1-2.
1 My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor note with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. 1Ti 2:5 Heb 7:25
2 And he is the atoning sacrifice note for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. Joh 4:42 Rom 3:25 2Co 5:18 Col 1:20 1Jn 4:10 1Jn 4:14

TOPIC: ACHIEVED PROPITIATION.

MESSAGE:
To propitiate is to win back the friendship and approval of an angry person. God was angry with the world because of sin and his wrath kindled against humanity to be condemned. The old covenant way of appeasing his wrath was with the blood of unblemished animals. It was only temporary because it could not remove sin in totality (Hebrews 10:1-3). But at the fullness of time Christ came to offer himself as a sacrifice saying, “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire but a body you prepared for me” (v.5b). Jesus being the perfect lamb was offered and God was appeased by his death on the cross. Brother, Christ’s atoning death grants everyone access to restore friendship with the Father, turn away his wrath and give you peace. Accept the offer and be saved.
REFLECTION:
The cross appeased God.

PRAYER:

Thank you Jesus, for standing in my stead. Amen.
MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: HEBREWS 12:2
“…who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”.
