TOPIC: NOT SEEKING AFTER GOD.

TEXT: ROMANS 3:9-18.
9. What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.
10. As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;
11. there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.
12. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
13. “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
14. “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15. “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16. ruin and misery mark their ways,
17. and the way of peace they do not know.”
18. “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

TOPIC: NOT SEEKING AFTER GOD – MESSAGE:

Psalm 14: 2 says, God looks from heaven to see if there is any who understands and seeks Him. Sadly, none seeks after God and no one is innocent of sin. They have turned away from God and would have nothing to do with Him. They were venomous with their words and engaged in worthless deeds that the fear of the Lord was alien to them. Many do not seek after God but only focus on what accrues from Him. He who refuses to acknowledge or seek God cannot expect to find Him let alone walk in holiness. God is still seeking for men and women whose hearts are inclined to know Him intimately and to do His will wholeheartedly. Will you avail yourself? God is waiting.

REFLECTION: Seek God and live (see Prov. 8:17).

Father, help my heart to be always disposed towards you. Amen.
MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: ISAIAH 35:8.
And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.
