Daily Scriptures:

Revelation 3:6-8 (KJV):
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

2 Corinthians 2:8-12 (KJV):
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord

Daily Prayers for October 4, 2023:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts open to hear Your Spirit. Grant us the wisdom and discernment to understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches, just as Revelation 3:6 encourages.

Lord, we pray for the grace to be obedient in all things, as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 2:9. Help us confirm our love toward one another and demonstrate our obedience to Your teachings.

We lift up those who need forgiveness in our lives, Lord. Just as Paul forgave for the sake of Christ, may we also extend forgiveness and reconciliation to those who have wronged us.

Protect us from the devices of Satan, as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 2:11. We acknowledge that we are not ignorant of his schemes and seek Your guidance in resisting his influence.

Lord, open doors of opportunity for us to share the gospel and serve Your kingdom, just as You opened a door for Paul in Troas (2 Corinthians 2:12). May we be attentive to the opportunities You provide for us to advance Your work.

Heavenly Father, we pray for the church in Philadelphia, as described in Revelation 3:7-8. Strengthen us, and help us to keep Your word and not deny Your name. May we walk through the open doors You set before us.

These prayers are inspired by the daily scriptures from Revelation 3:6-8 and 2 Corinthians 2:8-12, and they serve as a guide for seeking obedience, forgiveness, protection, and opportunities to serve in the Lord’s name.
