TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 11:22-28.
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelis? So am I. Are they among Abraham’s descendants? So am I. Act 22:3 [Rom 11:1] [Phi 3:5]
23 Are they the Messiah’s servants? I am insane to talk like this, but I am a far better one! I have been involved in far greater efforts, far more imprisonments, countless beatings, and have faced death more than once. Act 9:16 Act 21:11 1Co 15:10 2Co 6:4
24 Five times I received from the Jews 40 lashes minus one. Deu 25:3

26 I have traveled extensively and have been endangered from rivers, robbers, my own people, and gentiles. I’ve also been in danger in the city, in the open country, at sea, from false brothers,
27 in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, through hunger, thirst, many periods of fasting, coldness, and nakedness. [Phi 4:12]
28 Besides everything else, I have a daily burden because of my anxiety about all the churches. Act 20:18

MESSAGE:
Preachers of the gospel are advocates of peace. They do not always find it easy and they need to endure all sorts of challenges such as persecution, hardships, and temptations. Paul narrates his ordeals in the passage we read, as follows: He was (1) put in prison several times (i) severely flogged (ii) shipwrecked, not once (iv) exposed to death many times (v) in danger at sea, bandits, Jews and Gentiles and so on. Paul suffered all these and much more yet he endured.
Have you or are you being maltreated and molested for advocating peace and salvation?
Do not be discouraged. Those who want to live godly lives must be persecuted ( Timothy 3:12), Don’t give up.
REFLECTION:
He that endures to the end will be saved.
