TEXT: GENESIS 2:1-3.

Daily Walk With Christ – COCIN Devotional TOPIC: KEEP THE SABBATH 10TH FEBRUARY 2024
1. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
3. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Daily Walk With Christ – COCIN Devotional TOPIC: KEEP THE SABBATH 10TH FEBRUARY 2024

TOPIC: KEEP THE SABBATH.

MESSAGE:
God created the universe and everything in it within six days and He rested on the seventh day. He blessed the seventh day and made it holy. Man is commanded to keep the Sabbath day holy. God requires that human beings rest from their routine work to worship God, contemplate, meditate and build relationships with others and rejuvenate the body. Many people work all-week round without rest. They do not set time to observe the aforementioned. Lack of rest can cause stress, fatigue, diseases and even death. The Sabbath ought to be a day of rest and worship, and not to be choked up with activities. How is your attitude towards the Sabbath? Remember, it is a divine command for you to rest.
REFLECTION: The Sabbath is for rest and worship.

PRAYER:

Lord, help me to keep the Sabbath, in Jesus name. Amen.
MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: 1 PETER 1:15.
“But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do”.
