BASIC SCRIPTURES: ISAIAH 7:4; ISAIAH 30:15-20

Daily Scriptures:

Isaiah 7:4 (KJV): “And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.”

Isaiah 30:15-20 (KJV):
15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill.
18 And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers.’

Prayer Points:

Heavenly Father, grant us the strength to be calm and unafraid in the face of challenges and adversity, just as You assured Ahaz in Isaiah 7:4.

Lord, we pray for the wisdom to seek our refuge in You, recognizing that true salvation and strength are found in returning to You, resting in Your presence, and placing our confidence in You, as mentioned in Isaiah 30:15.

Forgive us, O Lord, for the times we’ve sought our own solutions and fled in fear, thinking we could handle things on our own. Help us to fully rely on Your strength and guidance.

Grant us the patience to wait on You, Lord. We acknowledge that Your timing is perfect, and Your mercy and judgment are just. May we find blessings in our waiting, as Isaiah 30:18 assures.

Lord, we pray for Your graciousness, for You are a God of mercy and judgment. May Your grace abound in our lives, and may our cries be met with Your loving response (Isaiah 30:19).

Even in times of adversity and affliction, Lord, may we find comfort in Your guidance and instruction. We trust that our teachers will not be hidden but will guide us on the right path (Isaiah 30:20).
