The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be held in Qatar. The tournament will feature 32 national teams, and the final will be played at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

The decision to award the World Cup to Qatar has been controversial, and has been the subject of criticism and investigation. Concerns have been raised about the country’s human rights record, the treatment of migrant workers who are building the tournament’s infrastructure, and the impact of the tournament on the environment. Despite these concerns, Qatar has made significant progress in preparing for the tournament, including the construction of several new stadiums and other facilities.
