TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:14-17.
14. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
15. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
16. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

TOPIC: LIVE FOR HIM.

MESSAGE:
To live for Christ is to please Him in all aspects of our lives. To do this, we must endeavour to be holy and willing to follow His footsteps. Our text explains that Christ’s love compelled Him to die on the cross to pay for the sins of all humanity. His death has become the death required for us to pay for our personal sin. So, the believer does not live in the old nature of sin any longer, but for Christ in the new life that has been created in him. It is sad that some Christians do allow the old nature to control them, such as fornication, adultery and idolatry. These sins lead to eternal perdition. Christ died purposely to redeem you for Himself, from now to eternity. Allow His love and Spirit to dwel in your heart, so that you live holy and please Him.

REFLECTION:

Live for Christ who died for you.

PRAYER:

Lord, I pledge to live for you always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH: LUKE 14:27.
And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciples.
