TOPIC: HE NEEDS YOUR LEGS

MEMORISE:
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 10:15
READ: Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
RCCG OPEN HEAVENS 9 NOVEMBER 2026 TODAY’S MESSAGE
God needs the legs of believers so that they can take the gospel all over the world. In today’s Bible reading, Jesus’ instruction was: “Go ye therefore…” True children of God cannot just sit in their comfort zones and think it’s the best they can do to serve God. If you are a worker in your local church, that is good; however, that’s still your comfort zone.
Have you ever gone on a mission trip before? Have you ever shared the gospel with prisoners? Have you ever visited an orphanage to share the love of Christ with orphans? Have you ever visited slums to preach the gospel to the indigent and downtrodden? If you answered ‘Yes’ to some or all of these questions, may I ask how long ago you did those things or how often you do them? God needs your legs to carry Him to these places and help draw the people there to Him.
Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
John 4:5-29 tells us the story of the Samaritan woman who encountered Jesus by the well. After Jesus shared the good news of salvation with her, the Bible says that she went on her way into the city to tell all the men there, “Come, see a man, which told me all the things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” She immediately put her legs to good use in spreading the gospel. God wants you to do the same; your legs should spread the gospel.
I recall an elderly man I met in Papua New Guinea who was filled with joy after hearing the gospel. With joyful tears in his eyes, he held my hand and said, “Thank you for travelling this distance to bring the joy of salvation to me.” Nothing gives more satisfaction than being the reason someone is going to heaven rather than hell. The Bible says that there is joy in heaven over any sinner who repents (Luke 15:7).
Beloved, the Lord wants you to use your legs to proclaim the joy of salvation to those who are in darkness. Acts 13:47 says, “For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL 9 NOVEMBER 2026 COMMENTARY
For the past few days, Daddy has been showing us that God needs our hands, our mouths, and now — our legs. It is a beautiful progression: God wants to heal through your hands, speak through your mouth, and now He wants to send you with your legs.
Today’s devotional, “He Needs Your Legs,” challenges us to move beyond our comfort zones and take the gospel to places we have never gone before. The Great Commission is a command. And it requires feet that are willing to go.
God Wants Everyone Everywhere to Hear Him
God’s desire is not limited to your family, your church, or your city — it extends to the ends of the earth. Acts 13:47 says, “For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”
But God’s heart beats for the prisoner, the orphan, the indigent, and the downtrodden. He wants the gospel to reach the slums, the remote villages, the unreached nations. Daddy shares the story of an elderly man in Papua New Guinea who, with joyful tears, thanked him for coming from Nigeria to preach Jesus to Him.
He Needs Your Legs to Propagate the Gospel
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.” The word “go” is an action word — it requires legs. Daddy points out that in John 4:5-29, the Samaritan woman encountered Jesus at the well, and immediately after receiving the good news, she went into the city to tell everyone,
Spreading the gospel is not just about what you say — it is about where you go. It means visiting that sick neighbour, taking a mission trip, volunteering at a prison ministry, or simply walking across the street to share Christ with someone. Wherever the Holy Spirit is prompting you to go, please yield. The harvest is ripe.
Don’t Limit the Gospel to Your Comfort Zone
Daddy says plainly, “True children of God cannot just sit in their comfort zones and think it’s the best they can do to serve God.” Your comfort zone builds you but can become a cage. Serve in familiar places, with familiar people, and think that is enough.
But God wants to stretch your faith. He needs legs that will go where it is uncomfortable, inconvenient, and even costly. Be sensitive to God’s leading. Step out this week. Go somewhere you have never gone with the gospel, and watch what God does.
Beautiful Feet, Eternal Impact
God is inviting you into the joy of being the reason someone enters the kingdom. Imagine standing in heaven one day and meeting someone who says, “I am here because you came.” That is the reward of beautiful feet.
This week, let your legs carry the gospel. Go to the places you have been avoiding. Visit the people you have been neglecting. The gospel is too precious to be kept within the walls of your comfort. Let your feet be beautiful, and let your going bring glory to God.
Action Steps
- Identify your comfort zone and step out of it. This week, choose one place or group of people you have never shared the gospel with — a prison, an orphanage, a hospital, a slum, or a neighbor — and make a plan to go.
- Plan a mission trip or outreach. If you have never been on a mission trip, begin to pray and plan for one. If you have gone before, schedule your next one. Don’t let the gospel stop with you.
Find Bibles
- Share the gospel wherever your legs take you. As you go about your daily routine — to work, to the market, to visit family — look for opportunities to share the love of Christ with someone, and be bold to speak.
Prayer Points
- Father, I thank You for giving me legs to spread the gospel of Jesus.
- Lord, give me a heart that beats for the lost. Let me never be satisfied with keeping the gospel to myself, in Jesus’ name.
- Father, direct me to the places You have prepared for me. Let your Spirit guide me in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, help me to step out of my comfort zone. Give me the courage to go where I have never gone and to speak to those I have never spoken to, in Jesus’ name.
- Father, as I go, let signs and wonders follow my steps. Let every person I meet encounter Your love and power, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, send more workers into Your vineyard, and let Your gospel reach the ends of the earth, in Jesus’ name.
- Father, use my legs to bring salvation to those in darkness, and let me be the reason someone repents and turns to You, in Jesus’ name.
