SUMMARY OF LESSONS 20-25
LESSON TWENTY (20)
TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSINGS III (THE FAITHFUL)
BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 25:14-30
MEMORY VERSE: Revelation 2:10 Be faithful until death, and I will give you a crown of life
LESSON AIM: God target the faithful for blessing
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Be faithful in whatever situation you find yourself
INTRODUCTION:
The Bible says in Proverbs 28:20, “A faithful person will be richly blessed…..” Our Lord constantly instills in us the qualities of faithfulness. We read in the Bible that Abraham was a faithful man. We find in Nehemiah 9 verses 7, 8 about how God found Abraham to be righteous and made a covenant to bless him and his descendants. Today we can also be blessed as Abraham by becoming a faithful person. All the promises that God made unto Abraham can be inherited by us through faith. God seeks after a faithful heart and he delights greatly in that faithful person.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. A man traveling to a far country called his servants/steward and delivered unto them his goods.
B. To one he gave five talents, to another two and another on according to their ability/ strength.
C. They began to trade with the talents, one who had received five talents went and traded with them and made another five talents and likewise he with received two gained two more respectively.
D. You too may have sinful acts that you do like hatred, covetousness, lying, gossiping, stealing, etc. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground and hid his lord’s money. He probably had done that because he was jealous and angry; it is a sin. Romans 3:23 Romans 3:26 John 3:16
He loves you He wouldn’t want you die in your own sin, Jesus took your punishment for sin so that you can receive forgiveness if you receive him as your Lord and Savior from sin Acts 16:31.
E. Anything that have beginning must have an end, After a long time, the lord of those servants came and settle account with them.
F. Everyone have double for their efforts. The one who received five; had five more and the master said to him well done. He who received two had two more and the master said to him “well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful over a few things I well make ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord”
CLIMAX: If you don’t cherish what you have it will soon be take it away from you. Then he who had one came and told the master how he hid the one talent given to him and the master said to him “you wicked and lazy servant” and took the one talent from him and gave it to who had ten talents.
CONCLUSION: Faithfulness gives you double for your effort. The unprofitable servant was thrown into darkness where there weeping and gnashing of teeth.
CHALLENGE: Are you faithful in the little you are given? As a child of God use your gift for God, time and opportunities well. Let your life attract more bless ings by being faithful in all assignments. Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much, and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
You must be faithful in little things. Ask Him to help you to be faithful in everything you do.
INVITATION: John 1:12 Jesus is calling you today today.
MEMORY VERSE: Deuteronomy 6:17 “Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.”
LESSON AIM: The children will learn to be diligent in all things by putting their trust in the Lord
CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: God blesses the diligent
INTRODUCTION:
Before class write the names of various groups of people on the chalk/whiteboard or a cardboard paper: sick, poor, homeless, widows, orphans, mentally ill, physically handicapped lonely, separated from families, etc. Help the children brainstorm needs that each of these groups might have. Then discuss how these needs can be met. Talk about the time, money, etc. Involved. “In today’s story, we are going to learn about a young woman who helped her mother-in-law. It was not easy to help but she did it anyway.
PROGRESSiON OF EVENTS: Ruth I:1-2:13, 4:1-10
1. To escape the famine, Elimelech moved his wife, Naomi, and two sons, Mahlon and Kilion, to the country of Moab
2. During the family’s ten-year stay in Moab, Elimelech died.
3. The two sons chose Moabite wives, Orpah, and Ruth. Their marriages were short, however, because both sons, Mahlon and
Kilion, also died.
4. At this time Naomi learned that the famine in Bethlehem was over, and she decided to return to her native land
5. Orpah took Naomi’s advice and returned home. Ruth, however, demonstrated her devotion to Naomi in a beautiful declaration of love of going to wherever Naomi went
6. Naomi and Ruth made quite an impression when they arrived in Bethlehem
7. Ruth worked in the fields of a man named Boaz.
8. Every day Ruth came home with lots of grain and Naomi was very happy that Ruth took good care of her. Ruth was happy too and knew she had done the right thing by choosing to help Naomi.
9. Boaz was so impressed with the way Ruth took care of Naomi that he offered Ruth the same protection that he gave to members of his household.
GOSPEL CONNECTION: God loves and offers you and me protections. God sent His Son Jesus to earth to offer us protection from dying for our sins. Jesus took the punishment for our sins so that we will not be separated from God but have the gift of life through Him (Romans 6:23)
CLIMAX: Naomi recognized Boaz as a relative of hers, she could see that Boaz would be a good husband for Ruth. Acting as a kinsman-redeemer, Boaz acquired the property that had belonged to Elimelech and his two sons (Ruth 4:9-10) In addition, he acquired Ruth to be his wife.
CONCLUSION: The marriage was blessed with the birth of a son, Obed.
Obed grew up to become the father of Jesse and the grand father of David.
CHALLENGE: God wants you to be diligent in all that you do if you already know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Wherever you go, let others see Christ in you by your actions
INVITATION: You need Jesus to help you to be diligent, Call on Him today as Lord and Saviour

He or she may be involved in the following; preaching. teaching, counseling, visiting the sick, evangelizing, studying God’s word, praying tor the church, being hospitable, preaching for funerals and weddings, helping other people learn to study, etc. How could we help preachers? In today’s story, we are going to learn about a woman who helped Prophet Elisha when he needed a place to stay. This woman and her husband were givers
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS 2 Kings 4:8-37
1. There was a great woman of Shunem who generously shared what she had with Prophet Elisha

GOSPEL CONNECTION: God loved the Shunammite and wanted to give her a precious gift which is a son. God loves you too and decided to give you the greatest gift of all, His Son Jesus. Jesus hung on the cross until the last drop of blood left His body so that you don’t have to be punished for sins (Romans 6:23). The greatest giver is God because of what He let Jesus do for you and me.
CLIMAX: The woman gave birth to a son at the set time the Lord promised

*LESSON TWENTY THREE (23)*
RCCG JUNIOR ZEAL 2021/2022 AGE 6-8 TEACHER’S MANUAL SUNDAY 20TH OF FEBRUARY 2022 LESSON 25

TOPIC: TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSINGS (THROUGH DIVINE FAVOUR

BIBLE TEXT: Esther 1:1-22, 2:1-23
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will be withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
LESSON AIM: The children will learn that God’s favor is upon those whose lives are blameless before Him
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to live blamelessly before Him
INTRODUCTION:
Children! Do you know that God not only promised the children of Israel divine favor, but He also promised that they could enter a realm where their enemies were at peace with them? In times such these, we need every possible advantage. Well, that’s precisely what divine favor is – an unseen advantage!
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS: Esther 1:1-22, 2:1-23
1. King Ahasuerus ruled over 127 provinces from India to Ethiopia
2. He threw a royal banquet tor 180 days all over his kingdom drinking wine in abundance to show the wealth of his kingdom
3. Queen Vashti was also giving a banquet for the women in the palace when the king summoned her in order to show off her beauty but the queen refused to come
4. The king was very angry and his advisers told him to hold a beauty contest to chose a maiden that will replace the queen and it pleased the King
5. Mordecai, a Jew, who was a gatekeeper at the king’s place brought his niece Esther to be among the maidens
6. Esther was very obedient to her uncle and also to Hegai, the Keeper of the maidens who found her blameless
GOSPEL CONNECTION: No person is truly blameless or righteous before God. We are all sinners and the punishment for our sin is death/separation from God for all eternity. A person is made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for sin ( He died on the cross, was buried, and rose again). We can do nothing to earn righteousness or God’s favor. It is only through faith in Jesus that we receive forgiveness and can walk a blameless life
7. The young maidens were prepared twelve months in beauty treatment before they could appear before the king and went along with anything they wanted
8. Esther only took with her what Hegai suggested when it was her turn to appear before the King
CLIMAX: The king was attracted to Esther when she was presented to him and won his favor and approval
CONCLUSION: The king made Esther the queen in place of Vashti, and gave a great banquet, tagged Esther’s banquet, proclaimed a holiday, and distributed gifts
CHALLENGE: Are you blameless in His sight because you have believed in the Lord Jesus? Are you walking in the light of His Word so that your life is pure before Him and those around you? Let’s recite our memory verse. Psalm 84:11. We are not told from Scripture what Esther’s relationship to God was like. God’s Word gives insight into how a person gains favor in the sight ot others. Who bestows or gives favor (GOD)
What kind of life does a person need to live to receive favor from God? (A walk that is blameless.) In your own words, what does it mean to have a blameless walk?
INVITATION: To receive divine favor, you need to be born again. Receive Jesus into your life today (John 1:12)
*LESSON TWENTY FOUR (24)*

TOPIC: SEEK GOD’S BLESSINGS

RCCG JUNIOR ZEAL 2021/2022 AGE 6-8 TEACHER’S MANUAL SUNDAY 20TH OF FEBRUARY 2022 LESSON 25
BIBLE TEXT: 2 Kings 2:1-15
MEMORY VERSE: Amos 5:14 “Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.”
LESSON AIM: The children will know that God gives them spiritual gifts and mentors to help them accomplish the work He has for them.
CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: Always seek ways to be blessed
INTRODUCTION:
Children! Who are some people in your life that teach you things? Do you think they do this just because it’s their job, or are you actually learning from others? (let the children give answers) Have you ever gone on a trip with someone? How did you prepare for it). Elijah and Elisha traveled around the country together giving people messages from the Lord. Elijah taught Elisha everything he needed to know to be a prophet. Elijah knew that someday Elisha would be the prophet in his place.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS: 2 Kings 2:1 -15
1. Elisha became Prophet Elijah’s servant
2. Elisha refused to stay in Gilgal so he accompanied Prophet Elijah to Bethel
3. The sons of the Prophets told Elisha that his master was leaving
4. Elisha refused to remain in Bethel and followed Prophet Elijah to Jericho
5. Another group of the young Prophets also told Elisha that his master was leaving
6. Elisha accompanied Elijah from Jericho to Jordan
7. As fifty Prophets were standing, Prophet Elijah struck the water with his mantle causing the waters to part and he and Elisha ha walked on dry ground
8. Elisha asked for a double portion of Prophet Elijah’s anointing when he was asked what he wanted
GOSPEL CONNECTION: God is the giver of anointing. God will give anointing to those who seek Him. The Bible tells us that because of God’s love for us, Jesus His Son came down to take the punishment for our sins. Jesus died on the cross so that we can have our sins forgiven (John 3:16-17). You need to seek Jesus for you to have blessings
CLIMAX: After Elijah said this something amazing happened! A chariot with horsemen appeared from nowhere. It was as if they were on fire but they did not burn up. Elijah was on one side of the fire and Elisha was on the other. As Elisha watched, a whirlwind came and took Elijah up into heaven. The only thing that was left of Elijah was his cloak.
RCCG JUNIOR ZEAL 2021/2022 AGE 6-8 TEACHER’S MANUAL SUNDAY 20TH OF FEBRUARY 2022 LESSON 25
CONCLUSION: Elisha took Elijah’s cloak and hit the Jordan River with it. The water divided just like it had with Elijah. Now Elisha knew that the Lord had passed Elijah’s gift of miracles on to him.
CHALLENGE: Elijah knew that if someone seeks God’s blessings, He will give him to do miracles. If you already believed in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, God can give you the power to do miracles. Seek Jesus as God’s blessings in everything you do
INVITATION: Call on the name of the Lord and you shall be saved (Romans 10:13)
