LESSON TWENTY (20)
RCCG LOWER JUNIOR ZEAL 2021/2022 AGE 4-5 TEACHER’S MANUAL SUNDAY 20TH OF FEBRUARY 2022
LESSON 25

TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSING (THE FAITHFUL)

BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 25:14-30
MEMORY VERSE: REVELATION 2:10 “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life”
LESSON AIM: GOD BLESSING THE FAITHFUL
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Be faithful in whatever is committed into your hands
INTRODUCTION: Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might”. Do you sometimes find it hard to be faithful in your work? If you do ask God to help you to be faithful with each little thing you have to do. If you are faithful with little jobs, you can be trusted with bigger jobs. If you take care of little things God gives to you, He will give you more.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. A man traveling to a far country called his servants and delivered his goods to them.
B. To one he gave five talents, to another two and another one according to their ability
C. The he who had received tive talents went and traded with them and made another five talents and likewise he with received two gained two more also
D. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground and hid his lord’s money. He probably had done that because he was jealous and angry; it is a sin. You too may have sinful acts that you do like Iying, stealing, hatred etc. Romans 3:23 God will punish sin Romans 3:26 but he loves you and does not want your sin to separate you from him so he gave his son to die for your sin John 3:16 l Jesus took your punishment for sin so you can receive forgiveness if you receive him as your Saviour from sin Acts 16:31.
E. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settle account with them.
F. The one who received five had five more and the master said to him “well done good and faithful servant you were faithful over a few things I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” He who received two had two more and the master said to him “well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful over a few things I well make ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord”.
CLIMAX: Then he who had one came and told the master how he hid the one talent given to him and the master said to him “you wicked and lazy servant and took the one talent from him and gave it to who had ten talents.
CONCLUSION: For everyone who has more will be given; and he will have abundance but from him who does not have what he has will be taken away. The unprofitable servant was thrown into darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.
CHALLENGE: Are you faithful in the little you are given? As a child of God use your talent, time and opportunities well. Be faithful to whatever responsibilities you are given at home, school and church and you will be blessed more. Let your Iife attract more blessings by being faithful in all assignments. Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much, and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Thank God for teaching you how important it is to be faithful in little things. Ask Him to help you to be faithful in everything you do.
INVITATION: John 1:12 Receive Jesus today.
MEMORY VERSE: PROVERBS 12:24 “the hand of the diligent shall bear rule, but the slothful shall will be under tribute”
LESSON AIM: God blessing the diligent
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Attract God’s blessings by being diligent
INTRODUCTION: Do you know that when a baby horse is born, it is very hard for it to stand up and walk? The little foal has to try and try and try again. A foal who is learning to walk will try to get up, but then he will fall back down because his legs are not very strong. But he doesn’t give up; he keeps trying and trying again. He falls down many times, but then he is finally able to stand on his little legs. He is a little wobbly at first, but in a few days he is able to walk and even run! 2 Chronicles 15:7 “But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak. For your work shall be rewarded.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. Then lsaac sowed in the land and reaped in the same year a hundred fold and the lord blessed him.
B. The man began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. He had possession of flocks, herds and great deal of servants so the philistines envied him.
C. Now they had stopped all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham him father and they had filled them with earth. The philistines treated Isaac wickedly by blocking the well and preventing him and his cattle from getting water because they are envious of his wealth. Do you also get jealous of other people and so destroy their things or feel something bad happens to them? That is a sin. Sin is whatever you do, think or say that makes God unhappy. You and l are born in sin Romans 3:23; the punishment for sin is death. Romans 6:23; but God loves you and I, so he gave us his son Jesus to die for our sin John 3:16; Jesus gave his blood and life on the cross to pay for the punishment or our sins Heb. 9:26; He died, was buried and he rose the third day. If you believe and receive Jesus as your lord and savior you will have your sins forgiven John 1:12.
D. And Abimelech the king of the philistines said to Isaac “Go away from us for you are much mightier than we”
E. Then Isaac departed from them and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar and dwelt there.
F. And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, also his servants dug in the valley and found a well of running water there Genesis 26 vs 18 but the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsman saying “the water is ours” so he called the name of the place Esek. They dug another well and they quarreled over that one also so he called its name Sitnah. Genesis 26 vs 19-20.
G. And he moved from there and dug another well and they did not quarrel over it so he called its name Rehoboth because he said “for now the Lord has made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land” Genesis 26 vs 21
CLIMAX: then he went up from there to Beersheba and the Lord appeared to him that same night and said “l am the God of your father Abraham do not fear for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendant for my servant Abraham’s sake.
CONCLUSION: Then Abimelech, his friend and commander of his army came to Isaac from Gerar and he asked then “why have you come to me since you hate me and na have sent me away from you”
But they said “We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you, so we came to make an oath and a covenant with you wil not harm us. Since we did not hurt you or harm you but only sent you away in peace you are now the blessed of the Lord
CHALLENGE: As a child of God you must be diligent like Isaac. He worked hard even in the face of opposition. You too must be diligent in your work, do not relent no matter how difficult it is or no matter the challenges or opposition you are facing always know that God is with you always. Hebrew 13:5. Let your life attract God’s blessing through diligence.
*LESSON TWENTY TWO (22)*

TOPIC: ATTRACTING GOD’S BLESSINGS (THE GIVER)

RCCG LOWER JUNIOR ZEAL 2021/2022 AGE 4-5 TEACHER’S MANUAL SUNDAY 20TH OF FEBRUARY 2022
LESSON 25
BIBLE TEXT: 2 Kings 4:8-37
MEMORY VERSE: LUKE 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together”
LESSON AIM: God gives bountifully to givers.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Learn to attract God’s blessings by giving
INTRODUCTION:
What can l give when I feel I have nothing?
There was a poor little boy but rich in faith and love, he had a friend he wanted to do something special for to show him that he cared, but could not buy him a shiny new toy or even give him one of his own, because he had nothing
“Give is a bit of yourself”.
*The gift of Love*: Tell others that you love them and care about them,
*The gift of Time*: Take time to be with friends and families.
*The gift of Good Example*: Others can learn from you and be better too.
*The gift of Acceptance*: Make others around you feel accepted and appreciated for who they are.
*The gift of Seeing the Best in People*: Let others know what you like about them.
*The gift of Giving Up a Bad Habit*: All of us have bad habits that annoy those we love. What a great gift it would be if you could give up an unpleasant or unhealthy habit.
*The gift of Teaching*: Helping someone learn something new is an important investment in their future happiness. Sharing our talent with others is a way to show love to others.
*The gift of Listening*: Few people know how to listen effectively. Too often we interrupt or act disinterested when someone else is talking
*The gift of Letting Others Give*: When we let others give to us and we accept their gift in gracious manner, we may be giving them one or the most important gift of all.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. The Shunamite woman generously shared what she had with Prophet Elisha, even building a special room for him 2 Kings 4:9-11
B. The woman expected nothing in return but Elisha wanted to repay her kindness and asked his servant Gehazi for suggestions 2 Kings 4:12-14
C. Elisha shared exciting news of the future birth of a son to the disbelieving Shunimate woman as she had no child. It was too good to be true because she felt she and her husband were old so she had given up hope of ever having children.
And then the Lord promised her a son as a special gift. That reminds us of an even greater gift that God has given to all people. God sent His own son into the world to die on the cross to pay the penalty ot our sins. Jesus willingly gave His life and blood so you could be made clean from your sin. He rose from the dead and He is in heaven today. Jesus is the great gift that God promised to send to world.
D. The Shunamite woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy at the time God had promised through His messenger Elisha
E. Years later, the child suddenly became ill and later died his mother’s arms. Her promised child died, had God broke His promise, No! Because God is faithful, He always keep His promises. If God has given you any promise Jeremiah 31:3, Hebrew 13:5b, He will surely bring it to pass God causes good to come out of bad situations.
F. Although she told her husband that all was well the grieving woman immediately sought God’s help by going to Elisha. The Shunamite woman cried over the loss of her promised son. Elisha and Gehazi returned to Shunem with the woman
CLIMAX: Elisha by God’s power brought the little boy back to life.
CONCLUSION: The woman was called to the room to embrace her healthy son. Then she bowed to show gratefulness to God and His servant Elisha and then picked her son and left
CHALLENGE: The Shunamite gave generously to Prophet Elisha and his servant Gehazi and God used Elisha to give her the gift of a child she never knew was possible to have again Even at a difficult time that she lost her child. God restored him back. As you give to God, God gives back to you far more than what you have given and He also helps you preserve whatever He blesses you with. Always attract God’s blessing by giving. Galatians 6:7b For whatever a man sows that he will also reap. The more you give the more you get
INVITATION: Receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour so you can begin to attract His blessings by giving Romans 10:13

Trusting completely in Jesus I’m blest
Sweetly He comforts, favours and shield from all harm,
Holding me safe in His mighty arms
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. After these things when the wrath of King Ahasuerus subsided, he remembered Vashti “What she had done, and what had been decreed against her Queen Vashti was proud and she disobeyed the kings instruction so she was removed as a Queen. Do you also have pride? Pride is a sin. Sin is whatever you do that makes God unhappy. Sin separates you from God Romans 3:26. God sent Jesus to save you and I for the punishment of our sin.

LESSON AIM; God is the giver of blessings.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Seek your blessings from God.

Never a time without grace,
Never a time when He turns away
From any need you face

With good things from above.
And as you look to the future years
Or wonder what you will go through.
Remember that God of yesterday
Will be the God of your tomorrows.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. Even though married for sometime Hannah had no children.
B. Hannah was sad because other women made fun of her.
C. Her husband Elkanah was kind to her treating her in a special way even though she had no children.
D. Faithfully, each year the family traveled to Shiloh to worship and sacrifice to God in the house of the Lord. One reason people brought sacrifice to God was to have their sins forgiven. Today it is different because God in His love sent His son Jesus to take the punishment for our sins. Jesus is the only one that can do this because He is without sin 1 Peter 3:18. He died on the cross, gave His life and blood for you. He rose and lives so you can have your sins forgiven. During Hannah’s time Christ had not come.
E. When she was with her family and friends she felt so much pain from not having a child that she could not eat
F. Hannah cried to God, asking God to give her a son. Hannah did just what God wants she prayed (seek him) to him. If Jesus is your savior, remember God hears your prayers and will answer you when you seek blessings from Him
G. As Hannah prayed silently, Eli accused her of being drunk, she explained she was not drunk but sad in her heart and was praying to God.
H. Knowing that God would surely do what was best for Hannah, Eli told her to go in peace
I. Hannah left rejoicing, knowing that God would answer her. The family returned home after worshiping the Lord.
CLIMAX: God answered Hannah’s prayer by giving her a son

This week write down your prayer requests. Then talk to God about them and come back to thank Him as He answers one after the other.
