TOPIC: THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICIAL PRICE FOR OUR PEACE.
TEXT: EPHESIANS 2:12-16.
Praise the Lord, tonight, miracle is waiting for you, power from on high, the peace of God, the goodness of God, the great manifestation of God, waiting for you tonight. The same JESUS that came in the past and Healed before, He’s healing today, the same yesterday, today, and forever. He saved the vilest of sinner, He forgave the greatest of sinner, He transformed the most terrible of sinner, that Jesus is the same today. Wherever you have gone astray in sin, He’s still the same, He will save you tonight, He healed at that time and the greatest of diseases, He heals today because He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. Those who are tormented by evil spirit, Jesus broke their chains, He broke the chains, He destroyed the yoke, that same JESUS is here tonight, He will do wonders of Salvation, wonders of healing, wonders of deliverance, it’s yours tonight, miracle is coming your way tonight IN Jesus Name.
Tonight once again, we talking about Jesus the Prince of Peace, the same JESUS the Saviour, our healer, our deliverer, the same JESUS our Redeemer, He paid sacrifice no other man on earth can made, He had to sacrifice and satisfy Heavenly Father, the sacrifice that He made, and the satisfaction of heavenly Father that became real brings redemption to us. The price is paid, Christ has paid the price for your salvation, for your healing, for your deliverance, for your redemption, and when you come to get what He paid for, nobody will deny you, and tonight, God will not deny you, Christ will not deny you, even Satan cannot deny you. Tonight, no man can deny you, the sacrifice is made, the fulfilment is already put in place, salvation is yours tonight, you come, you demand and is given unto you. In Ephesians 2:12, the word of God says, That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: You came out of Adam and Eve, in your natural strength and habit, at that time, in your own natural self, you are without Christ, you have no covenant of peace and covenant of protection at that time, you were alien, you had no hope, no help at that time. But now, because the Christ that came to cancel all your condemnations, that same Christ came and you have encounter and relationship with Him, and in Him you have peace. He has made you to come near by the blood of Jesus Christ for our redemption, the blood of Christ, the sacrifice for our sins, the blood of Christ took away our penalty because of that price He paid for you, He is the source of our peace, He’s the producer and the unchanging channel of our peace because He alone did that ultimate, final sacrifice, He’s now our peace, He has broken the wall of partition between us and God. He come to make peace with us and He come to make peace for us, He’s the Prince of our peace, and that peace is yours today. He came and He provided peace, He came, He brought Peace unto us and He’s our Prince of Peace, He came and bring peace, He came and preached peace unto gentiles, He also declared peace to the Jews, that peace is available for us today because He provided it. Now we are no more aliens but fellow citizens with the Saints and all the household of God. Now the salvation, the forgiveness, the peace, all the provisions of heaven is available for us, tonight no denial, as you come, your life will transform, peace will come and reign in your life, all your troubles are gone. Christ will make it possible in your life IN Jesus Name.
POINT ONE: ALIENATION/SEPARATION/DEMARCATION FROM PEACE AND PEACEFULNESS WITHOUT CHRIST.
EPHESIANS 2:12; ROMANS 3:17,19,23,24,25.
There was demarcation because you don’t have Christ, whatever you have, without Christ you’re alienated and separated, distance from peace that will make you live a peaceful life. At that time, your past life, your past situations, your past history when you’re alienated and separated from God because you don’t have Peace, without Christ there will be no help, there will be no heavenly deliverance, you were alien then but now that you’ve repented, peace has come. You don’t have divine ability before, you don’t have backbone, you couldn’t stand because there was no Christ, no hope, no help, you couldn’t maintain any steadfastness, you didn’t have God, and then you couldn’t solve the problem. That’s the story of everybody, we are weak in the flesh, we had no strength, we had no divine ability and we fell and fell, we wanted peace but we didn’t know the way of peace, we had a desire to be peaceful, but the way to get that done, we couldn’t find, and when the tempter come and knock the door, you cannot resist tempter without God, without Christ we cannot have backbone, strength and victory over the enemies, we couldn’t find the way of peace, all we think about is self, we have no fear of God, then we do things which are not approve by God because we didn’t have Christ, all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, everybody making decisions and resolution but all have sinned, everybody wants to be a peacemaker, but without Christ we will be without ability to make true everything we are promising ourselves, we are justified and forgiven by grace, we are set free from the chains of our sins by grace, Christ made a sacrifice, He made the demand of God fulfilled, you are coming to Christ tonight, He will help you tonight, He will forgive you tonight, He change your past, the condemnation and conflict in your heart will vanish away, the commotion in your heart will vanish away, all that contradictions in your heart will vanish away because God is going to have mercy on you because of the sacrifice Jesus paid on the Cross of Calvary, the Lord will settle everything tonight. You are without Christ, that’s the reason for all the problems in your life, but now that you’ve come to Christ, He’s the solution and for you He will do it tonight.
POINT TWO: ATONEMENT BY THE PRICE AND PAIN OF THE CROSS.
LAMENTATION 1:12; EPHESIANS 2:13.
He came to pay the price with His atonement, He reconciles us with God, He breaks all the things that separated us from God. Nobody could have bear the pain of the punishment for our sins, nobody could bear the pain, Jesus has borne that for us, and as you come and make profession through Christ, everything that He bought for you will become a reality in your life IN Jesus Name. There are people that heard about His pain, some people even hang the chains of the cross on their neck, but they do not plug in to that cross, that’s why Lamentations 1:12 said, Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. We go to church and yet we do not consider the pains of Christ at Calvary, we pay tax in the country, we have to do it but it doesn’t bring salvation, it’s the pain that Christ borne on Calvary that provides peace, that provides settlement and salvation for us. Christ went to the Cross and He said I am sorrowful for your death, He did all these for us to be save, God is angry with the wicked everyday, the blaspheme God, they love darkness rather than light, there’s wickedness everyday, they lie against God, they are hypocritical, God says He will judge every idle word, every evil we do against our neighbors, God is angry with the wicked everyday, but JESUS Christ stand at the middle to take away the Angy, but you never surrender your life to Christ, you don’t realize that the pain of Christ is unbearable, but when you realize that and you come to Christ, salvation will come to you. Because of the pain of Christ on Calvary, you repent, you believe and you accept JESUS. Sin brought shame, but He bare your shame, He bare your reproach and your sorrow, He take your damnation and your eternal perdition, come and give your heart unto Him forget, it’s there we come to Christ, He becomes our Saviour. Ephesians 2:13 said, But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Because He’s our Peace, He gives us Peace. He paid the same price, and that price makes the gentiles and Jews one before the Lord. And because of that wall of partition that is broken down, we can reach God through Christ our advocate, and the moment you turn away from sin, now you are in Christ. That’s what we will do tonight.
POINT THREE: ABUNDANCE OF PEACE THROUGH PENITENT AND CONVERSION.
EPHESIANS 2:15.
After that atonement, after that reconciliation with God, and you come in faith, and you come trusting the Lord and relying on what Christ has done, then you have abundance of peace because you are penitent, because you repented. Now that we have repented, there will be abundance of Peace in our family, peace in our lives, peace with our neighbours, we have good intentions towards them and we don’t behave like strangers to them. He wants to make us and remake us, He wants to transform us and recreate us, and when He sees the blood upon you, sickness, judgment, eternal punishment will pass over you, all the consequences of your past habits, everything will pass over you. Christ came to cancel all the consequences of sin, infirmity and iniquity, everything that shows that you’re suffering for the consequences of sin in the world, He takes everything away. It’s the sin that brings sickness and suffering, but now Christ has come, He has paid the whole price and tonight, it’ll be done in your life, you will not be blind anymore, you will not be dump and deaf anymore, you will not carry any stone, any swell in your body, you will not carry back pain again, you will not be going about with urinary problem anymore IN Jesus Christ Name, Christ came to take all the problems away, sickness, ulcer will vanish away, cancer will vanish away because Christ has paid the price to take away those sicknesses away, He takes sins and sicknesses away. Now Christ has come, He took His hammer and broke the head of the devil, you are now free because Christ has paid the price and as you come to Christ today, demonic spirit will be helpless, demon will be helpless and they will vanish away. Are you ready for a new life, salvation? Your salvation has come. If you’re without Christ, you will be a foreigner to the blessings of God
