John 1:14

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 4:10

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

John 14:7-10

[7]If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

[8]Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

[9]Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

[10]Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 1:11 “And a voice came out of the heavens; you are my beloved son in you l am well pleased.”

LESSON AIM: Jesus Christ is God the Son.

CHILD RELATED TRUTH: You must know and accept Jesus Christ God the son as your Lord and Saviour.

INTRODUCTION: Jesus Christ is God the Son. One with the father He is eternal and existed with God the father from eternity. The Bible is absolutely true and the revelation should be received by faith even when some of the revelation goes beyond comprehension.

A. Jesus Christ is the Word of God at the beginning – John 1:1

i. He is the creator and controller of all things. Col. 1:16-17, John 1:1-3, 1 Cor. 8:6

ii. He is eternal Micah 5:2, John 8:58

iii. He is God – Heb 1:8

iv. He is perfect – John 8:46, 1 Peter 2:22

v. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Rev. 19:16

B. His coming to earth was predicted.

i. Micah 5:2

ii. Isaiah 9:6-7

iii. Isaiah 7:14

iv. Zach 9:9-10

C. Why did Jesus come to the earth in human form?

i. To share in your nature. John 1:1,14

ii. To redeem you. Matt 1:21, Luke 1:31, Gal 4:4-5

iii. To be your substitute for sin. 2 Cor 5:21, Isaiah 53:6

iv. To mediate between you and the Father. 1 Tim 2:5

v. To give you spiritual relationship with God. Hebrew 2:11

D. How did Jesus describe Himself?

i. One with the Father John 10:30

ii. He is in the Father and Father in Him John 10:37

iii. The same with the Father John 14:7-10

E. How did the apostles describe Jesus Christ?

i. As Christ, the son of the living God. Matt 16:16

ii. God over all. Rom 9:5 iii. God in bodily form Col.2:9, 1 Tim. 3:16

1. Jesus come to the world.

CONCLUSION: Timothy 3:16 “and without controversy great is the misery of godliness, God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up to glory”

CHALLENGE: Jesus Christ is the answer to man’s greatest need, which is how to deal with sin. He is the answer to sin problem infact Jesus is the central truth of the Bible. As a child of God you must know Him better and follow Him daily.

INVITATION: Have you known Jesus? Have you received Him as your Saviour and Lord? Do so right now! Rom. 10:13
