LESSON AIM: To let children know the importance of praising God.
CENTRAL TRUTH: Praise brings down God’s presence.
INTRODUCTION: We should not relent in offering praises to God especially because of what He has done for us. The text we read calls praise a sacrifice. It is giving thanks to God especially because of what He has done for us by offering His son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. This sacrifice of praise should be offered continually, without stopping or ending. This is the only way we can appreciate God for all He has done for us. The goodness of God should be our confession all the time.

LESSON TWENTY-ONE (21)
TOPIC: HATE EVIL (SIN)
BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 39:1-10
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Thessalonians 5.22 “Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
LESSON AIM: To let children know that sin is evil.
CENTRAL TRUTH: God hates evil.
INTRODUCTION: Joseph was a young boy who was sold into slavery by his brothers because of jealousy but when he got to Potiphar’s house, God prospered him so much that his master’s wife cast her eyes on him. He refused to lie with his master’s wife even after making so much advances to him. He kept himself pure by refusing to disobey God and his master and was later made the prime minister of Egypt.

LIFE APPLICATION: Like Joseph you must flee every appearance of evil. Let the class talk about various temptations they have experienced and how they shall deal with it, e.g. Lying, Exam malpractice, Stealing, Bullying, etc.. Amos 5:15a tells you to hate evil and love the good.
LESSON TWENTY-TWO (22)
TOPIC: GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
BIBLE TEXT: 2 Peter 3.18
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Peter 2.2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”
LESSON AIM: To let children have a deep knowledge of God.
CENTRAL TRUTH: The knowledge of God keeps from sin.
INTRODUCTION: The Word of God was written by holy men of God who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. Apostle Peter has sent a note of warning so that we will not fall victim of false teachers. The way out is for us to grow in the knowledge of God, by having a deep knowledge of the scriptures. Growth implies an increase in size and amount. It also means to become better improved at something, to become more developed and mature. Growth in the knowledge of God is so important and mandatory in the life of every child of God because it brings us to a level of maturity with God (Hebrews 5:14).

A: HOW TO GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD:
1 Seek the truth. John 17:3, Proverbs 23:23
2 Ask help from the Holy Spirit (divine power). Acts 1:8

C: OTHER AREAS OF GROWTH:
1 In the study of God’s word.
2 In prayers and supplication.

5 We must grow in wisdom.
6 We must grow in fellowship with other brethren.

CONCLUSION: You have to be thirsty for the words of God daily in order to grow in the things of God.
INVITATION: Before you can grow properly you must be born again.
ACTIVITY: Learn a memory verse daily.
LIFE APPLICATION: You must cultivate the habit of meditating on the word of God daily. You, who has received Jesus as Saviour, God wants you to grow in the knowledge of Him by applying His word to your daily living.
LESSON TWENTY-THREE (23)
TOPIC: TO LIVE IN THE SPIRIT
BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:25; Romans 8:14
MEMORY VERSE: 1 John 4.13 – “Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.”
LESSON AIM: To let children know the importance of depending on the Holy Spirit.
CENTRAL TRUTH: The Holy Spirit should be our senior partner.
INTRODUCTION: The Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity. The book of 1 John says in chapter 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” The Holy Spirit plays major roles in the life of believers. The Holy Spirit convicts us to confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit indwells us to empower us to live the new christian life which is a spiritual life. We need no longer to walk after the flesh but to live by the Holy Spirit prompting.
STUDY GUIDE:
A: WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
See 1 JOHN 5:7 – For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
JOHN 16:13 – Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.
B: THE PURPOSE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER:
1. He anoints us with power to witness. Luke 4:18
2. He transforms us into a new person. 1 Samuel 10:6
3. He gives us a closer relationship with Jesus. Ephesians 5:18-19
4. The Holy Spirit brings forth virtues in our lives. Galatians 5:22-23
5. The Holy Spirit comforts us. John14:16,26

C: HOW DO WE LIVE IN THE SPIRIT?
1. Living in the Spirit is to die to self.
2. Not walking according to the lusts of the flesh (wrong desires), but according to the Spirit.
3. Living a Spirit controlled life.
4. Being led by the Spirit of God.
D: HOW CAN I LIVE BY THE SPIRIT?
1. Surrender your will to God. Proverbs 3:5-7
2. Repent. Acts 3:19
3. Have faith in God’s word. Hebrews 11:1
4. Be a doer of God’s word. James 1:23
5. Trust in the Lord. Psalm 7:1
6. Be led by the Spirit. Romans 8:14
7. Say no to self and yes to the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23

TOPIC: SEEK GOD ALWAYS

Isaiah 55:6 “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”
LESSON AIM: To let children know that they need to seek God always.
CENTRAL TRUTH: We need God’s help always.
INTRODUCTION: In the eight year of King Josiah, even though he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David. In his twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, asherah poles and carved idols and cast images. The great promise to those who seek the Lord is that He will be found. “If you seek Him, He will be found by you” (1 Chronicles 28:9). And when He is found, there is a great reward.
