TOPIC: PRAISE GOD ALWAYS

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 34:1: I will bless the name of the Lord at all times His praises shall continually in my mouth.
LESSON AIM: If Jesus is your Saviour, God wants you to praise Him in any situation.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Let your life be a life of consistence praise to God in all situations.
INTRODUCTION:
John 4:24:-Jesus while speaking to the Samaritan woman, He told her that God is seeking for true worshippers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. God wants you to worship Him at all times, when happy and when sad.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. Paul and Silas went to Philip to preach the good news about Jesus Christ, a little girl was a fortune teller followed them vs. 16-17
B. She tormented them as she followed them day by day, then Paul command in the name of Jesus that the evil spirit to come out of her, and instantly the spirit left her and she became normal vs. 18
C. Her master who makes money from her actually was angry and dragged Paul and Silas to the authorities. The whole city uproar and accused them of teaching customs that are illegal to their Romans practice vs. 19-21
D. They are stripped naked and beaten, wounded and imprisoned vs. 23
E. At midnight in the prison Paul and Silas started to praise God, instead of crying, cursing, and complaining, they started praising God in spite of their situation, even with bleeding wound that was hurting vs. 25.
F. God responds to praises, as Paul and Silas sang praises at midnight while other prisoners were sleeping there was a sudden earthquake and everywhere was shaking. Their chains fell off their hand and feet. God moved in a powerful way to respond to their praises. It was wonderful! God can respond to your praises,
so praise Him always. The jailer who was asleep woke up suddenly to see what happened, trembling, before Paul and Silas, he asked “sir what must I do to be saved? vs. 26-28
CLIMAX: They replied believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household vs. 31-34.
CONCLUSION: The jailers took care of Paul and Silas wound, took them to his house, served them a meal. He was filled with joy because he and his household have believed in Jesus.
CHALLENGE: If Jesus is your Saviour, God wants you to praise and worship Him in any circumstances, whatever comes your way. When happy or sad, always praise God.
INVITATION: Before you can praise, you must have God in your life.
LESSON TWENTY-ONE (21)
TOPIC: HATE EVIL
BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 4:1-16
MEMORY VERSE: Amos 5:15a: Hate the evil and love the good.
LESSON AIM: God knows your thought as well as your actions.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Guide your thought and actions each day.
INTRODUCTION:
John 3:8b “The reason the son of God appeared is to destroy the devil’s work. God sent Jesus to destroy all satanic work. The devil has held many of God’s children under his bondage,
and that is the very reason why Jesus came. If you have received Jesus, you will hate the devil and all his evil works. A child of God does not partake in evil Matthew 7:16-20 by their fruits, ye shall know them.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
A. Eve joyfully gave birth to Cain.
B. Later Eve gave birth to Abel.
God made Adam and Eve and He gave His life to Cain and Abel, that same God made you and me.
C. Abel the younger Brother grew up and became a shepherd, while Cain decided to be a farmer. Vs. 2.
D. After a certain time, Cain and Abel came to worship God Vs. 3,4 (Each one brought His offering Cain, Fruit and vegetable from His Garden, Abel, one of the best lambs his flock)
E. The Lord was pleased with Abel and He accepted his offering. (God knew what was in Abel’s heart; He was born as a sinner, but trusted God. He attitude and actions was right
and so God accepted his offering).
F. God was not pleased with Cain and his offering. Vs. 4. God looked upon Cain’s heart, He saw it was full of sin, He did not believe in God. He wanted to have his own way.
Jeremiah 17:9. “The heart (the real you) is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked that means our hearts are very sinful. Wanting your own way, being jealous of hating
another person is sin. God loves you very much, but your sin must be punished. God was very displeased with Cain and the offering he brought.
G. Cain became angry with God for rejecting his offering. He was also jealous of his brother Abel, because Abel’s offering was accepted. Cain’s jealousy led to anger and his anger to
hatred).
H. God pleaded with Cain to “do well” (that is to do what was right) or face the consequences vs. 17. If Cain would change his attitude, believe God, and do what he said everything would be fine – God made away for sins to be forgiven, your sin and my sin and that is through the blood of His Jesus Christ who died and rose so that we can have our sins forgiven.
The only way Cain could have his sins forgiven was to change his attitude, believe God and come to God, God’s way.
CLIMAX: Cain’s refusal to accept God’s way led him to murder his brother, Abel vs.8
CONCLUSION: God tried to get Cain to confess that he had killed his brother, but Cain refused. vs. 9, 10 and because Cain refused God’s way, he had to suffer the consequences of his sins vs11, 12. He became a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth. And God drove him from his presence but put a mark on him so that he will not be killed.
(There are great consequences of doing evil)
CHALLENGE: As a child of God, always do good, hate and run away from all forms of evil.

LESSON TWENTY-TWO (22)
TOPIC: GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
BIBLE TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Col 2:7-10;
2 Timothy 3:13-14

MEMORY VERSE: 2 Peter 3:18a. But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
LESSON AIM: A child of God will study God’s word to know him better.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Grow in knowledge of God as you learn more of Him.
INTRODUCTION:
If you have received Jesus as your Saviour, you must make deliberate effort to be strong in faith, the more of Him you know the faster you can go in your Christian journey. It is a long
journey of life with Jesus to your destination of eternal life.
Do not relent at any point, be steady in your knowledge and relationship with God.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS:
A. Stand firm in the teachings of Christ as you have been taught.
Let your faith grow strong in Him and His truth as you were taught Col 2:7. What are the truths you have learnt?
B. Apostle Paul tells Timothy in 2 Tim 3:14-15 “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of knowing of whom thou hast learned them. Vs. 14
C. You have been taught the holy scriptures from child hood and they have given you wisdom to receive salvation by trusting in Jesus Christ vs.15
Junior church, from your school, good news club and you parents, God has given you people to teach you His word so you can know Him better.
A. If you want to have the knowledge of God and to grow in Him, you have to be strong in the truth you have learnt and believe so that you will not be carried away with any kind of wrong
teachings.
For example if someone asked you, is it good for a boy to wear car ring or two men to marry. You will not be confused but stand strong on the truth you have learnt.
B. You will grow in the knowledge of God through His word Psalm 119:11 said, “thy word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sin against thee”
• So read your bible daily.
• Memorize your bible verses.
• Fill you heart with God’s word.
• Witness to your friend and people around you.
CLIMAX: Make friends with people that have the knowledge of God, study God’s word.
CHALLENGE: If you have Jesus as Saviour, continue to grow in your knowledge with God and be strong in the truth you have learnt.

INVITATION: Call on the Lord to save you from sin then start to grow in God’s knowledge Rom 10:13.

LESSON TWENTY-THREE (23)

TOPIC: LIVE IN THE SPIRIT
BIBLE TEXT: Romans 8:1-14
MEMORY VERSE: Gal 5:16 “This I say then, walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of flesh.”
LESSON AIM: A saved child will live by the Holy Spirit who will keep you away from sin.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: Fleshly living can only lead to destruction.
INTRODUCTION:
DO you ever experience being guided by “unseen Hands”? You just feel that someone led you to where you did not plan to go or brought answer into your thought as you think over an issue. Or like someone you did not see, speaks to you.
Like you will want to do something wrong and you heard a voice that says “don’t do it” it is wrong or why did you do it? Who is this
unseen one trying to put you right?
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS:
A. The Holy Spirit delivers from power of the flesh. With the Holy Spirit you can overcome falling into sinful dictate of the flesh. vs. 2
B. Living by the Spirit is a journey of walking day by day by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He helps a child of God to live right and please God.
C. The mind of a sinful man leads to death but a mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Rom 8:6
If you allow the flesh to control you, you will commit sin and the wages of sin is death. Rom 6:23; this means physical death or spiritual death which is separation from God, but God loves you and gave His son to die on the cross for you. John 3:16.
Jesus shed his blood, died and rose again so that you can have your sins forgiven Heb. 9:13b
D. Your responsibility or duty is to live according to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps you to deal with inherited nature of sin vs.13
CLIMAX: Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God vs.14

CONCLUSION: Those who belong to Jesus have crucified the sinful nature of sin in them.

CHALLENGE: If you know Jesus as Saviour, live in union with the Holy Spirit so that he can help you in your spiritual journey. Seek His help day by day in all you do, He will help you.
– Read your bible.
– Give you understanding and wisdom.
– Help you to pray.
– He will help you to do right things and live a life that is pleasing to God.
INVITATION: Only those who have received Jesus Christ as their Saviour can live in the Holy Spirit. You want to live in the spirit? Receive Jesus into your heart. John 1:12.

LESSON TWENTY-FOUR (24)
TOPIC: SEEK GOD ALWAYS

BIBLE TEXT: Luke 12 22-34
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Chronicle 16:11:Seek the Lord and His strength seek His face continually.
LESSON AIM: The saved child will seek God in everything he does.
CHILD RELATED TRUTH: God wants you to seek Him in all your daily activities.
INTRODUCTION:
What does it mean to seek God always? Seeking God always means we are to put God and things of God as number one over the things of the world.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS:
A. Jesus said to His disciple that:-
They should not worry about their life, what they will eat, their bodies, what or will wear because life is more than food and the body is more than clothes vs. 22-23.Jesus told them how more valuable they are than the ravens that do not sow or reap and have no store room them. vs.24
B. Jesus told His disciple to seek God’s kingdom and all they need will be given to them as well. If you have received Jesus as your Saviour God wants you to seek Him always at all times. Put God first in everything; do not make anything more important than God.
C. He assured His disciple not to be afraid because they are little flock for their father has been pleased to give them the kingdom vs. 32. You are also Jesus’ little flock (saved from sin). God is bigger than your needs and problems and He is the solution.
What you should always remember as you seek God always:-
1. God is all you need. Psalms 23;1-3
2. Be thankful to God in all situations. 1 Thess.5:18
3. Remind yourself of his promise to you. Hebrews 13:5b.
CLIMAX: Jesus told them that their treasure is in heaven, the same thing for you that is a child of God as you look forward to be with Him in your beautiful home someday vs. 34
CONCLUSION: The heart of the disciples or every child of God is in Heaven where their treasure is. vs. 34b
CHALLENGE: If you have received Jesus, you are His little child, He wants you to seek Him always while He meets you needs.
