YESTERDAY: Open Heavens 15 September 2022 WHO DO YOU BELONG TO?
Message: There are several benefits to gain from telling people about Jesus Christ. Maybe if you knew the benefits, you would preach the gospel some more. Today, we will discuss just one of the numerous benefits of sharing the gospel of Christ and this is found in our Bible reading for today:

You will become a star when you preach Christs gospel. For example, the more people you bring to the Almighty God, the more children in the Lord you will have. I am yet to see someone who was not grateful to the person who preached to and led him or her from the path to hell. Even today, I bless God for the man who brought me to The Redeemed Christian Church of God where I met Christ. If not for him who obeyed the instruction of the Lord to witness, only God knows how miserable my life would have become now.I say it boldly anywhere that I am the richest man in the world. I am the richest man in the world because there is no city in the whole world where I dont have a house. You ask me how? Well, there is no city I get to today where I would need accommodation and not get a house to sleep in because I have children in the Lord who would be struggling to host me in their homes the moment they hear that I am around. It is not because I have any money to give them, but simply that I led them to Christ and helped them grow closer to Him. The more people you lead to Christ, the more celebrated you would be; you would indeed become a star.Winning souls is the Fathers business. If you go about the Fathers business and do your part to make it prosper, He would say thank you to you by making you a star. You would drive cars you didnt buy, live in houses you didnt build and become so respected that when you speak people would pay attention.
Action Point: Commit to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

All your prayers will be answered if you are a soul winner! Imagine you owning a business, and having a son who keeps bringing in new customers to help expand that business; is there any amount that the boy would ask from you that would be too big? In fact, you are likely to buy him a car before he even asks. That is exactly how God feels about people who win souls for Him. The Bible says there is always joy in heaven whenever a sinner repents (Luke 15:7 ).God is so passionate about mankind that He throws a party anytime someone crosses from darkness into His marvellous light. He is so excited that He throws a party in heaven for each soul that is saved. Imagine then how He would feel about the fellow who preached to that soul. You can be sure that even though the fellow is not in Heaven to partake of the feast, God would send his own portion of the goodies to Him on earth and such a person would be very dear to God. That is why if you are a committed soul winner, all your prayers would be answered speedily.I want you to take note however that in John 15:16 , He said if the person wins souls and the souls remain, in other words, if you follow up the new converts until they attain full maturity in Christ, then all your prayers would be answered.It is not enough to just preach, lead people to Christ and forget about them; you must follow them up with phone calls, Bible Study meetings and so on to ensure that they dont go back to the world. You must keep them in your prayers always to ensure that you are shielding them from the tricks of the devil to take them back to the world. Every athlete on the race track is always looking forward to reaching the finish line. The Heavenly race is not a sprint but a marathon. We have been looking forward to the coming of Christ now for more than two thousand years. I, in particular, have been running this race for almost 50 years now, and I am still running. I dont know how long you have been running, but I am quite sure that you are looking forward earnestly to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Well, there is a way you can make Him return quickly sharing the gospel of Christ and winning souls into the Kingdom of God. Matthew 24:14 says:

The Bible reading for today says that all Children of God are waiting earnestly for that day when we will be transformed and reign with our Father in heaven, but the only way to hasten the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is to preach the gospel. Until people who have not heard the gospel hear it, Jesus will not come. If you want Him to return quickly so that you can reign with Him in paradise (that is, of course, if you are sure that you will make it to heaven), then you will preach the gospel. I am really looking forward to His return so I will win souls even in the most remote parts of the world. I have been to a country to win souls where they were so few in the whole country, everybody knew one another. Their prison inmates were allowed to go home on weekends to visit their families and come back the next Monday. That is how small the country is. I will go anywhere; as long as there is someone there who will hear about Christ and can become saved, I am ready to go.Now, it may amaze some people that Jesus has not come yet because you think the whole world has heard about Him. I was preaching to a group of Ambassadors about God one day; after preaching for more than 30 minutes, one of them asked, What is God? I realized then that he didnt understand all that I had been saying since. There are still people out there who havent heard about Christ and we will keep waiting for His coming if we dont go out there to preach to them. Until they hear, He will not return. I have seen people experience challenges and they just keep struggling through them. They somehow find a way to survive as the challenge lingers. For such people, usually, a day will come when they will say, Enough is enough. That day came for the widow in the Bible reading for today when her creditors said they were coming to take her sons. Before then, the creditors must have been disturbing her and the prophet who had the solution to her problem had also been there, but she kept quiet and was just struggling with the situation. On that fateful day, she must have said to herself, Enough is enough then cried to the Prophet for help and it came. The day you decide to stop accommodating that problem, it will leave you alone; if you keep struggling with it, however, God will fold His hands and watch you.Several years ago, a young couple suddenly realised that they were making money, but the money kept disappearing, thereby leaving them in poverty. They kept struggling with the problem for some time until one day when they said, Enough is enough. That day, they prayed some violent prayers like I will ask you to pray later today and all of a sudden, the relative that they brought from the village to help with house chores started screaming, I want to confess. He said he had instructions from the village that as soon as he got to their house, he should get one of the caps of the husband and send it back to the village. He did this and the cap in question was spiritually manipulated such that whatever money the man-made in Lagos was appearing in the cap back in the village. It was after he brought the cap back and it was set on fire that these people within a year bought their own land and built their house. They started making progress only when they said, Enough is enough.I dont know about you, but I am tired of the level that I am on now; I want to move forward. Oh yes, I have achieved some success and I am grateful to God, but I am not yet where I want to be. Are you okay with being in the same spot for so long? Do you want to continue managing or do you want to break loose from the bondage of the enemy and fly? It is up to you. If you want to move forward, then pray the prayer point for today with great spiritual aggression.

In 2 Kings 2:19-22 , the men of Jericho had been suffering under a curse for years. Barrenness and death were the order of the day. Everything looked good on the surface, but underneath, there was a lot of sorrow and decadence, yet they kept quiet. Their hope for restoration seemed lost when Elijah, who had been around them for a while, was taken away with the chariot of fire. Fortunately for them, Elisha had received the double portion of Elijahs spirit. The moment they saw that he had Elijahs spirit in him, they cried for help. That day, the yoke that had lingered for generations was destroyed.If you have been postponing going on a retreat where you can be alone with God to discuss a negative generational pattern you have noticed in your family, a time may come when it would be too late and your children would have to battle the same problem. When you have had enough, you will go to a solitary place and really cry to the Almighty God in desperation saying, Lord, I will not let you go unless you change this evil pattern for good.The prayer of enough is enough is one that you do all night in private where you can take any position you want without bothering who is looking at you.One of my sons-in-the-Lord came to me one day and said he was living in the same house with a witchdoctor and she was affecting his work negatively as he was not making any progress. I said, Why dont you eject the woman, are you not supposed to be a prayer warrior? He said, No, Im a tenant, just like she is; just pray for me that I make progress at work and everyone can have their own way. After a while, I didnt see my son until he showed up one day with rashes all over his body. He said that the witchdoctor had had him accused of robbery and arrested. After some days in detention, during which time mosquitoes had feasted very well on him, the policemen saw that this man was always singing and quoting the Bible, so they released him. I told him, I said you should remove this fellow, you refused; now she is moving you. The next time she moves you, you wont come back. That day he prayed, and within three days, the woman relocated. Stop postponing your freedom because the one keeping you in bondage may strike so hard that you wont be able to recover. I hope you are ready to pray now.
