INTRODUCTION:-
In the last part of this series, we started studying the book of Nehemiah by looking at the man Nehemiah and the concern he has for his people and his fatherland. Today as we continue our study of the book of Nehemiah, may the Lord richly bless us in Jesus Name.
1. NEHEMIAH’S JOURNEY AND ARRIVAL AT JERUSALEM
The same King Artaxeerxes who issued a ‘stop work’ order during the time of Ezra, gave Nehemiah permission to go and rebuild Jerusalem, he delivered the letters accordingly and waited three days before commencing the real assignment. Nehemiah 2:1-16, Proverb 16:7, Nehemiah 2:9-10, Zechariah 4:6, 1peter 2:9, Matthew 16:18, John 10:10, Joshua 1:5-7.
2. NEHEMIAH ON INSPECTION TOUR
Nehemiah set out on the inspection tour of Jerusalem by night in the company of some men. The rulers, priests and even the Jews knew not yet his mind concerning the great assignment. Nehemiah 2:12-16, Luke 14:28-30, Micah 7:5-7,, Ecclesiastic 3:7, James 1:5, Genesis 37:5-11, 12-36, Psalm 34:19.
