OPENING PRAYER
King of Kings and Lord of Lords; we give You all Glory, all Honour and all Adoration for Your Goodness, for Your Mercy, for Your Support, for Your Supplies, for Your Defence and for everything that You have been to us.
Father, Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.
Today, as we gather again to Worship You, We Pray that Your Glory will Shine forth, that Your Honour will be released upon our lives, that we will really have cause to Glorify Your Name again.
Thank You Almighty God.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
Well, you can shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and say: God will bless you Mightily today – Amen!
And then, you may Pleasee be seated.
As we move on to Part 32 of our Series: For Whom The Heavens Open – “For Whom The Heavens Open – Part 32”.
And we will move into Joshua Chapter 7 – What we should have done is to have read the whole Chapter because it is one Continuous Story but Verse 1 alone is enough for us to chew on today – Joshua 7:1.
Joshua 7:1 – But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the Tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel
Probably the first thing that you will noticed here is that when you sin against God, they will mention the name of your father, the name of your Grandfather and the name of your Great Grandfather.
When you do wrong, you bring blemish on your Heritage!
Here we have Achan the son of Carmi (That’s his father), the son of Zabdi (That’s his Grandfather), the son of Zerah (That’s his Great Grandfather). They even mentioned his Tribe – The Tribe of Judah.
That is why we have to be very careful as Christians because whatever we do, will affect Generations Past and some Generations even yet unborn – That’s Important!
But even more Significant is the fact that it was Achan alone that sinned but here the Story says that it is the children of Israel that committed the trespass!
… Just one Fellow sinned and a whole Natiom is accursed.
Infact when you go further, it says that: And the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel.
I thought that it could have been that the anger of the Lord was kindled against Achan.
And so, we will love to spend some time today looking at: “The Power of the Individual”.
And this should interest you because you are an Individual.
The Action of an Individual can have tremendous consequences – Either for Good or for Evil.
1. Infact Romans 5: 12-17 tells us it is by one man’s sin that Death came to the world .
… One man sinned in the Garden of Eden and Death came to the world.
2. As we go through the Scriptures, you will discovered in Genesis 18: 17-33 that it is one man’s Intercession (Abraham) that brought Deliverance to the family of Lot.
He was the one who stood before God and began to intercede for a family of a Relation.
3. On the other hand, by the time you get to 2 Kings 5: 20-27; it was Gehazi who sinned when he lied against the Man of God to collect Money from Naaman.
But when the Prophet of God was going to Place a Curse on him, he said that the Leprosy of Naaman will cleave unto you and unto they Seeds forever.
Science today is just discovering the link between certain Sickness and Diseases and the Genes in the family.
You know in the Olden Days when People do not marry on the Internet – When Somebody goes to a family and says I want to marry your daughter. They will tell the Fellow, okay you can go and come back.
After he has gone, they will go and do a thorough Search on the family line – They want to know: Had there been a Leper in the family before? Has there been a case of Madness in the family before? Et cetera et cetera.
Why? Because if there had been a Leper in the family before, they know that sooner or later, another Leper is coming in that family line – It will flow in the Blood.
In the family of Gehazi, there will always be a Leper because the Man of God said that the Leprosy of Naaman will cleave on you and on your family forever.
Which explains why you that has not given your Life to Jesus Christ should even think about it seriously now because one thing that Salvation does for you is that it Changes your family line.
The moment you are Born Again, you are moved to the family of God!
And that is why if there is any Generational Disease flowing down the line from your Great Grandfather; the moment you becomes a Child of the Living God, the flow will now jump over you!
4. In Daniel 2: 1-end – Daniel alone brought rescue to all the Wise Men in the Land.
When a King had a Dream, forgot the Dream and told the People to gather all the Wise Men together – Tell me my Dream which I have forgotten and tell me the Interpretations. Or else, I will kill you all.
But Daniel sought the face of the Lord – God revealed to him the Dream and the Interpretations thereof and all the Wise Men were saved.
5. In Acts 27: 1-end – You will discovered that Paul the Apostle was in a boat with several other People who are Prisoners and there was a very terrible Storm. The Storm was so bad that for two weeks, they couldn’t even see the Sun and then they thought that destructions had come.
But when the Angel of the Lord came to visit Paul one night, he told him that you are not going to die and because of you; all those who are with you in the boat will be saved.
… One Man brought Salvation to all those who are travelling with him!
6. On the other hand, if you read John 1: 1-15 – The Bible tells us that God send Jonah on an errand. He said No, I won’t go and decided to go in the opposite Direction and he took a Ship. And because of him, a Mighty Storm came.
The People in the Ship were wondering why is this Storm so violent?
And while they were busy Praying, rolling hard, doing whatever they could; the Troublemaker was Sleeping.
When they woke him up, he said that I know why you are in the Storm – I’m the Problem Causer.
He told them the Solution – Throw me out of the Ship and your Problems will be over. They tried not to, but the Storm increased.
Finally, they picked him up, threw him out of the Ship and immediately all became calm.
Maybe one of the Prayers that you need to Pray today is that – If there is Someone in my family who is responsible for all the Problems you are having; that God will reveal the Fellow to you so that something can done about it.
7. When you read 1 Samuel 25: 1-35 – David sent a Message to a Man called Nabal; asking for food – Tell him that me and my men has been taking care of your flocks and we have not allowed anything to happen to them. Now, we need some food.
And the Man (Nabal) said: My food for you? I don’t know you! Get away from here.
David heard and said: Alright, let us go and deal with them.
But the wife of the Man heard and said: Ha, danger is on the way. Quickly, she got up, got some food and came to meet David on the way and begged David to just Please forgive for her sake.
You know the rest of the Story – David told her that for the fact that you came, there would have been Nobody left in your family by tomorrow.
… A Woman came and rescued her family – Action of one Individual!
DMC NOTES: The name of the woman in question (Nabal’s wife) is “ABIGAIL”.
8. And of course, when you read Acts 8: 5-8.
You will discovered that the Bible said that Philip went to the City of Samaria, conducted a Crusade there and brought “Great Joy” to the City.
… I can go on and on and give you Examples upon Examples.
9. Like in the case of David I 1 Samuel 17: 1-51.
For forty (40) days, Goliath terrorised a Nation. An Individual came on the scene and ended Terrorism for the Nation.
10. And if you read Genesis 50: 15-20; you will see how God used Joseph to rescue the world of those days from what could have been Total Calamity.
You want to say – What are the Applications of all these things because we can continue by even mentioning Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ who brought the Saviour of the world into the world and so on and so forth.
1. You can be a One-Man Army for the Lord.
When you read Ezekiel 22: 29-31; God said that when I look at the Land and I see bloodshed and I see the sin and I see all the horrible things that they are doing. I sought for a Man who will Stand in the Gap before me for the Nation so that I won’t destroy the Nation.
He said that but I found None.
– Could it be that God is looking for a Man to Stand in the Gap for your Nation?
– Could it be that God looked down from Heaven, sees all the atrocities going on in your Nation – The Killings, the Robberies, the Kidnappings; and He is looking for a Man/ an Individual?
In Isaiah 6:8; the Almighty God cried out and say: Who will I send? Who will go for me?
And Isaiah answered and said: Here I am, send me!
If God is asking today: Who will help? Who will intercede for the Nation? Who will be my Messenger?
Will your answer be: Here I am Lord, send me?
2. Don’t stop until every Members of your family is Born Again.
Why? Because one Sinner in the family can bring destruction to the entire family.
In Ecclesiastes 7:18; the Bible says: Wisdom is better Weapons of War but one Sinner destroys much Good.
If all of you are doing the Will of God and you are having a wonderful time and then there is one Individual in the family who is an Agent of the Devil, who can be used by the enemy; that Single Fellow can introduce Poison into the entire family!
3. And then, consider the fact that it is written – One will chase a thousand but two will put ten thousand to flight.
That tells us that if you are a Good Christian, Powerful, a Great Prayer Warrior – If you can find just one Individual added to you; then the effect of your “Combined Prayers” will be ten-folds.
If you can find one Individual who believes like you believed, who can Pray like you can Pray and the two of you team up; suddenly the effects of your Prayers will be Multuplied ten-folds.
Remember that it is written that if two of you shall agree concerning anything you ask on Earth; it will be done for you by Your Father in Heaven.
4. And of course, there is this Passage in the Bible that says: Let all the People Praise You Oh Lord, then God even our God will bless us.
Do you know the meaning of that?
If you are in a Congregation and maybe there are like a thousand and everybody is Praising God except one Fellow; the Blessings for the Congregation can be withheld!
Because the Bible says: Let All – And as far as God is concerned, all means all without exception.
So, you could imagine how many Blessings People have lost simply because there is one Individual in the Congregation who is not joining in the Praising of the Lord!
Let me begin to round up – And I have a word for those of you who are Sinners and who says: I can stop the Blessings of the family.
There is something called “The Law of Substitution”.
Proverbs 11:8 says that the Righteous is delivered out of trouble and the Wicked goes in its stead.
Do you know what that means?
If danger is about to grab Someone who is a Child of God, the Almighty God can apply the Law of Substitution – Rescue the one who is His Child and use you the Sinner as a Substitute.
I’m sure that you Probably heard the Story of Daniel in Daniel Chapter 6.
He was thrown into the Den of Lions. The Lions saw food coming and thought this is food for us and God says No, don’t eat this one as he is my Child. But wait, by tomorrow you will be fed.
The following day, Daniel was taken out of the Den of Lions alive and all those who conspired against him were fed by the Lions.
I don’t have time to tell you Stories but I can give you illustrations of People who are Children of God, who are snatched from the Jaws of Death and a Sinner in the family became a Substitute
ALTAR CALL
So, if you are listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC – Remember that God says in Revelation 3:20 that behold I Stand by the Door and I Knock; if any Man hears my Voice and will open the Door to me, I will come in to him and then we will dine together.
God is speaking to you as an Individual – He is knocking at the Door of your Heart. Please open the Door to Him before He begins to apply the Law of Substitution over you.
If you will bow down your Head now, call on God to save your Soul; I will join you in Prayers. The Almighty will save your Soul and you will become one of the Righteous Children of God and you will enjoy Divine Security from now on.

PPRAYERS FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You very much much for Your Words.
Thank You for revealing to us once again the Power of an Individual and Thank You because You are willing to save the Souls of Individuals who has decided to come to You today,
Father, Please receive them, have Mercy on them, wash away their sins Lord and as You are saving their Souls today; transfer them into the Family of God.
So any Generational Problems in their family, I Pray that from now on, they won’t be Partakers.
And I Pray that from this moment onwards, anytime they will call on You, You will answer them by Fire and that they will serve You till the End.
And I Pray Lord God Almighty, for all the family who are already saved, that by Your Special Grace, they will now arise for the Salvation of every other Souls in their family so that very soon, there will be no Sinners left in all our families.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Now, I rejoice with those of you who has given your Life to Jesus Christ. I want to Promise you that from now on, I will be Praying for you.
So, I will advice you to go quickly to any Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) near you – Tell the Pastor that you have just gotten Born Again and he will tell you what to do next.
