*LESSON: 41*
*TOPIC: THOU SHALL NOT KILL*
*BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 4:3-15*
*MEMORY VERSE:*
“Thou shalt not kill.” – Exodus 20:13
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
To kill means to murder. It also means to put an end to a life, to terminate life or to prevent what is living from living again. We pray that as many that are into this act of killing, today’s message shall ignite their true repentance in Jesus name. The sanctity of life is gradually being eroded by men and women who are into hired assassination, ritual killing, serial killing, kidnapping, armed robbery, occultism, banditry, terrorism, suicude bombing, cannibalism etc..
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There are two outlines:
A: WHY DID GOD SAY THAT THOU SHALL NOT KILL?
1.- God uses this commandment to create in us the sanctify of life. – Exodus 20:13
2.- We are created in His own image and are precious in His sight. – Genesis 1:26
3.- No killer or murderer will make heaven. – 1 John 3:15
4.- God hates hands that shed innocent blood. – Proverbs 6:16-17

7.- God’s weighty punishment may vary on the killers. – Genesis 4:11-12, 15, 23-24
B: GOD COMMANDED “THOU SHALL NOT KILL”, BUT WHY IS KILLING STILL RAMPANT?
Despite the prohibition of killing by God and humanity, man still indulges in it. Reasons are:
1.- Hatred for one another and lack of love. – 1 John 3:15
2.- Envy. – (Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:4-12)
3.- Lack of knowledge of the word of God and the fear of God. – Hosea 4:6
4.- Love of money, power and position.
5.- Addiction to alcohol and hard drugs often hardens the killers’ emotions.
*ACTIVITY:* Why would God punish those who kill others?
*SUMMARY:* Please stop this killing.
*CONCLUSION:*
Killers will be hiding from God (Genesis 4:14). Fellowship with God has ended. They shall become fugitive and vagabond. They shall become agents of the devil (John 10:10a). The devil will use them to kill and would finally waste their lives. We should forgive one another and sow mercy so that we can reap mercy. We are to love one another because our God is love. – 1 John 4:7-8

*MEMORY VERSE:*
“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” – Mark 16:20
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
Evangelism is simply telling others about what the good things of the gospel of Christ have brought to our lives. In other words, we must go everywhere with this good news of the gospel like the apostles of the old. However, while evangelising, our lifestyle should portray Christ (Acts 11:26).
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There are two outlines:

*LESSON: 43*
*TOPIC: DESTINY MANIPULATORS (THE CASE OF THE TWO HARLOTS)*
*BIBLE TEXT: 1 KINGS 3:16-28
*MEMORY VERSE:*
“And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.” – 1 Kings 3:22
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
Who are destiny manipulators or destroyers? These are human agents of the devil or his demons that negatively alter the divine plan or the glory of an individual. A typical example is King Herod in Matthew 2:13 “…for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.” Consider how he wasted the lives and destinies of all the children of two years and below in Jerusalem and its coasts. – Matthew 2:16
Similarly in our bible text of today, two harlots shared the same room; each was delivered of a baby. However, one negligently slept over her baby and the baby died. The mother of the dead child exchanged her dead baby with the living one while the rightful mother was also asleep. But for the right judgement of King Solomon, the living child would have been killed also as that was her request before the King.
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There are two outlines:
A: EXAMPLES OF DESTINY MANIPULATORS:
1.- Family background. – Jabez 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
2.- Satan and his forces. – Matthew 13:25
3.- Disobedience to God’s word. – Isaiah 1:19-20
4.- Peer influence.
5.- The desires of the flesh. – Romans 8:3-8
B: HOW CAN YOU DISCOVER AND FULFILL YOUR DESTINY?
1.- You need God to watch over you and your destiny. Therefore accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. – Romans 10:9
2.- Humble yourself before the Lord, always. – James 4:7
3.- Read, study and meditate in the word of God, always. – Joshua 1:8, 1 Timothy 2:15
4.- Live a life of sanctification and consecration. – John 17:17, Exodus 32:29
5.- Pray ceaselessly. – Luke 18:1
*ACTIVITY:* How do destiny manipulators operate?
*SUMMARY:* Destiny manipulators are everywhere. Please be prayerful.
*CONCLUSION:* Many people died prematurely and wasted their destinies because of manipulators like King Herod (Matthew 2:16) and the careless harlot who killed her only child. Why don’t you allow God to watch over your destiny? He will defend you to the end.

*LESSON: 44*
*TOPIC: THE UNBELIEVING AND UNREPENTANT MULTITUDE OF NOAH’S DAY*
*BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 6:1-8, MATTHEW 24:37-39
*MEMORY VERSE:*
“And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.” – 2 Peter 2:5
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
In a corrupt and depraved era, Noah walked with God. The Scriptures made us to know that man’s wickedness on the earth became great and every inclination of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil at all times (Genesis 6:5). That was why God in His wrath planned to wipe the unrepentant sinners off from the face of the earth (Genesis 6:6-7). However, because Noah loved God and believed His word, he found grace in the sight of God (Genesis 6:8).
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There are two outlines:
A: HOW MANY PEOPLE BELIEVED GOD?
Only a few people, eight in all, believed God: Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives were the only eight who were saved. – 1 Peter 3:20
B: WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE WHO DID NOT BELIEVE GOD?
God said to Noah in Genesis 7 to go into the ark with his whole family because He found him righteous in that generation. He also commanded him to take with him seven of every kind of a clean animal, a male and its female, and two of every kind of an unclean animal, a male and a female and also seven of every kind of a bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive upon the face of the earth. Noah did as God commanded and the door of the ark was shut. A heavy rain fell resulting in a great flood. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out by the flood (Genesis 7:1-23).
*ACTIVITY:* What happened during Noah’s days?
*SUMMARY:* Please strive and make sure that you don’t miss heaven.
*CONCLUSION:*
As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man (Matthew 24:37).
The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). God has planned another day when He will judge the people of the world and that coming day of judgement will be more terrible than the judgement which came upon Noah’s generation.

*TOPIC: MAKE GOD THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP / FAMILY*
*BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 2:20-22*
*MEMORY VERSE:*
“Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.” – 1 Peter 2:6
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
Simply put, a cornerstone is that capstone which gives firmness to a building or house. Figuratively, that which is prominent, fundamental, noteworthy or central. On this note, as a Christian, Jesus Christ should be our Chief cornerstone in our families and relationships. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit speaks expressly in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There are three outlines:

4.- Greatness. – Deuteronomy 28:1-14
5.- You will win every battle of life. – 1 Samuel 17:45-50
C: THOSE IN THE BIBLE THAT MADE GOD THEIR CHIEF CORNERSTONE:
1.- In family (David. – 1 Samuel 30:1-8).
2.- In relationship (Abraham’s Chief servant. – Genesis 24:2-15).
*ACTIVITY:* Why must we make Christ our Chief cornerstone?
*SUMMARY:* The foundation of the Lord is still standing sure.
*CONCLUSION:*
Every decision of life without God will lead to frustration and regret. There is a popular saying that ‘HAD I KNOWN, IS THE LAST STATEMENT OF A FOOL’. So, for us not to be seen or called fools, wisdom demands that we must make God the Chief cornerstone on everything of our life endeavour.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.” – Philippians 4:5
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
When purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.’ What is abuse? Abuse is the improper usage or treatment of a thing, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in diverse ways like physical, emotional, mental etc.. But our concern is based on today’s topic: How can a Christian youth abuse the use of phones and ICT?
When mobile phones that are supposed to bring God’s blessing to the individual now becomes a source of distraction and addiction such that it has taken the place of God even during sermons, the majority of our youth go to social media for chatting, browsing etc.. Many of them have attracted God’s curses because of their disregard for God.
This is an abuse.
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There is one outline:

We should examine this step by step:
Step one: Exodus 4:2-4 – The ordinary rod in the hand of Moses before, now became a miraculous rod because Moses was on a mission for God.
Step two: The rod swallowed all the magicians’ serpents in Pharaoh’s place. – Exodus 7:9-12
Step three: The rod parted the Red Sea. – Exodus 14:16
Step four: Exodus 17:5-6 – The rod was used to smite the rock for water.
Step five: Numbers 20:8-11 – God instructed Moses to use the rod and speak to the rock for water again.
Step six: Moses did not enter the promised land because he did not use the rod the manner he was told to. – Numbers 20:12
*ACTIVITY:* How can somebody abuse his / her phone / ICT?
*SUMMARY:* Please be wise.
*CONCLUSION:* Youth, please beware! The same gadget you are playing with, can become a link that may lure you to hell. Quite a number of youth are regular visitors to pornographic sites and many have become addicted to it. Laptops are designed for positive things and not for internet frauds. Moderation or self-control is needed in the use of phones and ICT (internet). So you are enjoined to use them ONLY for GOD’S GLORY.

“Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.” – Ecclesiastes 7:9
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure, hostility or antagonism towards someone or something, usually combined with an urge to harm. Today’s bible text makes it clear that Cain killed his brother Abel because he was wroth (angry) against him. And Cain was severely punished by God for his action. Anger can stop a child of God from reaching his/her God given goal. Whether the anger is inherited or developed as a result of life situation, please nip it on the bud before it stops your destiny.
B: THE WAY OUT:
i.) Give yourself to constant prayer. – Luke 18:1
ii.) Always study the word of God. – 2 Timothy 2:15
iii.) Give heed to Holy Spirit instructions and bear the fruit of the Spirit. – Galatians 5:22-25

*LESSON: 50*
*TOPIC: YOU WILL BE ADDRESSED THE WAY YOU DRESS*
*BIBLE TEXT: EXODUS 2:15-19*
*MEMORY VERSE:*
“And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.” – Exodus 2:19
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
The primary purpose of dressing is to cover ones nakedness and to glorify God. As children of God, we should led our dressing give glory to God. Our dressing is the first description of who we are. In today’s bible text Moses was called an Egyptian by the way he dressed.
Our character is judged by our style of dressing. A well refined, cultivated mind, will be revealed in the choice of simple and appropriate attire.
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There are three outlines:
A: WHAT OUR DRESSING SAYS ABOUT US:
.- It should differentiate us from the world. – 1 John 2:15
.- It should not become a tool of seduction. – Philippians 4:5
.- It should send a message of godliness. – 1 Timothy 2:9
.- It should reveal how much we love and value God
.- It has positive or negative influence on others. – Romans 14:15-16
B: THE NEED FOR MODERATION IN CHRISTIAN DRESSING (PHILIPPIANS 4:5):
We are naturally concerned, because it is the quest of every believer to grow into full stature of Christ: to have temperance and control over the body, to cultivate a sound mind and to be wise in all spiritual things. In other words, we are to be transformed from this world and not to be conformed to this world.
In order, therefore, to understand the implications of clothing, it is imperative that we know what the scripture says. According to Matthew 5:14-16, we are to stand out as lights in the world and to be different and this must surely be reflected in our dressing.
C: DANGERS OF INDECENT DRESSING:
.- It can lead to disrespect.
.- It can lead to assault.
.- It can lead to rape.
.- It can lead to arrest.
.- It can bring shame.
*ACTIVITY:* What is indecent dressing?
*SUMMARY:* Dressing portrays your personality. Please dress decently.
*CONCLUSION:* Dress well if you want people to address you well.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
“A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.” – Psalm 68:5
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:*
It is the plan of God that both parents should in togetherness nurse their children unto adulthood. However, there are some circumstances both within or beyond their control that may crop up and render either of them a single parent. And these are death, divorce and out-of-wedlock pregnancy.
*LESSON OUTLINES:* There is one outline:
A: SINGLE PARENTS WHO WERE HELPED BY GOD:
HAGAR: Today’s bible text explains how Hagar was pushed out with her son by Abraham. But God came to their aid and the seemingly ugly situation became a pleasant one. – Genesis 21:17-19

Also it is still not the end of life for those out-of-wedlock pregnant ladies. Just repent of your sin and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. He can turn the situation around for good. Abortion is not an option as it will further compound your sin before God.
*ACTIVITY:* Is God interested in helping the single parents?
*SUMMARY:* God is the rewarder!
*CONCLUSION:*
Single parenthood is not the end of the road, brace up and hope in God and He will turn the situation around in your favour. Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. – Hebrews 12:2
