OPENING PRAYER:

Father, please don’t let me hurt or prosecute you in anyway.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE:
The leader should ask members what they understood about the last topic.
TODAY’S LESSON:
A. MEMORY VERSE: And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40
B. BIBLE TEXT: ACTS 9:1-5
1. And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2. And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4. And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5. And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
C. LESSON INTRODUCTION:
Persecution is defined as pursuing in a manner to injure, grieve or afflict; other synonyms for this word include oppress, harass, distress, worry and annoy. Saul of Tarsus was in one way or the other advantaged by being intelligent to have graduated under Gamaliel but he ended up using this God’s given advantage/opportunity to afflict the church of chirst until he was divinely arrested on his way to Damascus, that was his last duty in oppressing, afflicting and putting the church of Christ grieving. Beloved what special gift of advantage has God freely given you and you are using it to oppress, afflict and annoy the church. I pray that today you will repent in the Lord Jesus’ name.
LEADER’S DIARY
A. LESSON AIM: Teach members about people who prosecuted God, and advice them to withdraw from every action they are taking that is a prosecution to Christ and His body.
B. TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
i. Know that God can also be prosecuted
ii. Be ointment and not a torn to christ or His body.

CONCLUSION: The church invariably is described as the body of Christ, if in any way you have done or still doing any of these things; just like our memory verse says as long as you do it to the least of the person in the church, you have done it or prosecuted Jesus Himself.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, thank you for the grace to hear this message in the mighty name of Jesus.
2. Father, in any way I have abused my gift or position to oppress your church, please have mercy on me.
3. Father, from today, open my eyes to help others with the gift given to me in Jesus’name.
4. Everlasting Father, please release upon me the grace to always respond to the needs of your Church in Jesus’name.
5. Pray for Daddy G.O and his family.
